In my opinion, it's just easier (and cheaper) to have them wear the wires and have the makeup.

This is a very good idea and effect but most actors or people in general usually don't want to cover them selves in pain... There is another way though if you have premiere pro and after effects. You can use premiere pro to change the green screen to the color you want then use after effects to over lay everything else with black(the person) and then you can animate the ipod with flash cs4's.(because it has a new feaure that attaces parts of a object together and then allows auto simulation of a random motion(with the character).

Search it on google... I think you actors will appreciate it!!

I like the idea - this video is good as supportive, can you write around it (or transcribe)?
