If this is a sign of things to come, I am impressed! I used vista beta when it came out, and had some trouble with it. But win 7 pre beta feels like an RTM, and not pre beta. My hat off to Microsoft. This don`t mean I am abandoning Linux, but it gives everybody more choice! And the slow to convert corporate world, is more likely to wait fore this, than upgrade to vista... I know firms that still run Win2000... not the most secure thing maybe, but the cost and learning curve puts them off.
I run Win 7 on an old 1,5 celeron M cpu, and 2 gig of ram, and it runs better than vista on it, that's fore sure! Especially because I have a not so great viacrome chip in this laptop, and Vista has double buffering of the windows...
And in about a month the beta will be out to the rest off the world!
