Just took a delivery of 5 new Dell Laptops the other week, and I was on holiday.
I have been sitting here setting them all up for my client, when I open the 4th box and find that the letter "M" is missing from the laptop keyboard! Not only that, there is no sign of it in the secure box, nor inside any packaging, it's been nicked!

I mean to say... if it was inside the box I'd think, rough handling, but c'mon, not in the box tells me that someone has stolen the key!!!!

Email off to Dell... lets see the saga to get this replace quickly.....

Well Dell delivered the laptop.... and another docking station and stand!!! I only gave them a laptop as its that and ONLY that with the fault of the missing "M" key!!!! Now I have to get them to pick up the extra bits that I do not need in case they decide to blooming bill me for them!!!

I know it was stolen! There is a Black Market for "M" keys I believe... Mmmmmmmm just can't figure it all out though!!

Dell has picked up the faulty laptop now, but the driver asked for 3 boxes! (laptop, dicking station, docking station rack). He was told ONE BOX and no more! So we will see if there are going to be any issues getting the new one now.... I hope they don't try the old, repair and send back to me....

you could tell your custermer to just click the little bump, the sensor buton for the key
it was probably a manufacturing problem, and qality control sucks or isnt there
not stolen
:)

Looks like my video has proved to be a hit! More so when I called Dell to see about getting the unit replaced, and they could not really grasp what had happened. The say a picture tells a story.. but a video smashes you right in the face!
The called me back and asked if I would be happy for an Engineer to replace the keyboard.... I said NO WAY, I want a NEW fully "M'd" up keyboard and no repair malarky!
