I am a big fan of the Slingbox, a device that allows you to watch your home television on your computer anywhere you have an Internet connection. Slingbox owners have been waiting for an iPhone application, but have been left hung out to dry. The dispute is over who is to blame: Apple or AT&T?
On a recent episode of Bwana's podcast he mentioned an article by DSL Reports that states that it is the AT&T Terms of Service that is attempting to ban streaming such media over the 3G network. If that is true, why is there a Slingbox application for the Blackberry that works over the EDGE & 3G network? My opinion is that Apple has their hand in this, I think they might have a similar product or feature add-on planned for the future. What do you think?
If head that if you search for the company who make the Slingbox they are registered App Atore developers, so something is in the pipeline- i saw this on TUAW or Engadget- I'll link you when i find it.
