9. When you do something interesting on Geeks, why not share the link with your Facebook or Twitter friends? The same people who follow you outside of Geeks would be more than interested in following you on Geeks.

10. Have you posted your event(s) to http://geeks.pirillo.com/events yet? Increase the chances of someone finding you before you find them.

I would like to personally thank you for this site. There were a few other social sites, that I belonged to and someone on one of them invited me here. They don't see me much anymore.

I try to pull people into responding to each other in forums instead of just posting, like no one else is in there. It seems to be working in some cases.

Thanks again. I am learning as I make new friends. What could be better?

Chris. I'm a lot like my bud, JT up there. I refresh to see if there are new folks coming in, and generally do the same things he does.

It has been really great to find the great diversity of people here, of all ages.

Being one of the 'ahem' OLDER members here, having no children of my own (at least to my knowledge), I've found it especially rewarding to bounce advice back and forth with some of the younger members. I think the people frequenting the Geeks site are, in a great majority, the best folks in the inter-space.

I may not personally know how to program in C++, or build a website in notepad, like many of the teenage whizzes on Geeks. However, I feel that Geeks is a great way to learn about these things for young & old.

The 'who is online now' active scrolling bar hasn't been working for me as often as I would like...probably something on my end :P

Thanks for Geeks, Chris. I'm one of the many that appreciates your efforts!

Chris,

Before you started this site, of course I joined, I was a major couch potato. Now I can't seem to draw myself away from this new Geeks Site of ours (If I may say "Ours").

I learned the "Refreshing the Home Page Screen" trick early on. I usually keep two tabs open. One on my own page and the other on the Home Page. I usually know when someone puts a new message on my "Wall" before I am alerted via Email.

I usually open up a third tab when I see something that strikes my fancy so that I can either read and/or make a comment to.

I wish that I could right mouse click on one of the pictures on the "Picture Wheel" so that I could select "Open in a New Tab". Other than that it has been a great experience for me. I feel appreciated because I have really helped a few people with either my Technical Advice or given my Personal Opinion.

I have been able to express myself on my personal page and show others what my likes and dislikes are.

I have always had respect for others and feel that they have shown their respect for me.
