Download Our Windows 7 Tips!

After hearing Google would create an Open Source mobile platform, we’ve all be waiting for many months to see the first Android-powered handset. With only a week left until the T-Mobile G1 starts arriving at people’s doorsteps, reviews have started popping up overnight.

The G1 has an iPhone-style capacitive touchscreen and a BlackBerry-inspired trackball that compliment each other very well, making navigating the interface a breeze. The G1 packs a full 5-row QWERTY keyboard that is very spaciously laid out, making this device ideal for sending text messages, email and instant messages. Under the hood the G1 has GPS, a compass feature, HSPA, Bluetooth 2.0 and WiFi.

As I looked the web for more resources for this post, I found the G1 Official Page. In this page, there is a sophisticated emulator of the G1 right on our web browser. Of curse you'll need a flash player(10 recommended) to view the emulator. Here is the link: http://tmobile.modeaondemand.com/htc/g1
Press the "Emulator Button".

That's all for today. Signed: Omer.

I like it, too bad it went on the iphone's way and they make you buy a 2 year plan... I would just love to get my hands on either the g1 or iphone and be able to use them as pre-paid, without having to crack them down

The phone is sick. I got the phone 11-20-08 works great.Must need app is power manager is great. It save your battery with out it your go through the about 4 to 5 hours without a charge when using Wifi and bluetooth.Otherwise the phone is the best one I've gottin from T-mobile yet. But HTC makes a great product. I would still like to try an iphone because I like apple.

It looks nice, but hopefully they have a good replaceble battery and they put a nice sd slot in it, then I buy it for certain... And I'll make all the iphone users very jealous (all those freeee google apps héhé)

Nice project between htc, t-mobile and google...

I definitely plan on getting this phone since I have T-Mobile, but I am waiting until my contract is up before I do so. The phone looks great and I like how it incorporates Google and has the touch screen like an iPhone and trackball like the Blackberry. The keyboard is a definite plus as well. This looks like a great and easy to use phone by T-Mobile.
