What do you use to hold voice conversations over the internet, I've been bouncing back and forth between Skype and iChats built in voice communication. Today while testing both out me and my girlfriend both came to the conclusion that iChat was easier to use and most of all had a better quality of voice transmission. So at the moment I will be using iChat to talk with people. But the real reason I am posting is to find out what the rest of the community is using, and what they feel is the best program or app to use. Im open to all suggestions, I do want to stress that I am only talking about voice chat not webcam chat. It would be great if I could get some feedback or suggestions of other apps that I could use to voice communicate with others, especially if the apps are free! :) thanks
Eric

I use iChat all the time. I never used Skype before. I might have to try it.

I've never used iChat. But I most certainly love Skype.

I honestly prefer Team Speak to Skype. The later eventually starts to lose quality when you add more people, but that doesn't happen with Team Speak and it is quite lighter on your system and bandwith. Plus it's simpler as well. The Mac version is called Team Speex which is the one I use (I used Team Speak on PC) and works just fine as well.

I use iChat on my eMac and Skype on my PC. Skype is for voice/video calls and iChat is for text conversations.

Thanks for your opinions, I think I'm going to give vent a try and see how that goes, but if I don't end up using it then you've all given me some other alternatives, thanks all. :)
