Nikki the Dog, A loyal Companion

I’m sad that next week one of my dogs is going to be put down. She’s been part of the family for 11 long years, her name is Nikki, and she's a chow. I grew up with her in the house, she was very playful and at times would attack my shoes. She’s always been protective of the family, and has done her share of mischief. However the time that most pet owners fear has come, she’s become to old, and needs to be set free. I will miss her, and all she has brought to the family and our lives.

It was just six years ago that my parents put my dog Luigi down, he was 13 years old, and was a black and white Shih-Tzu. I had him since I was 4. I was 17 when he died, and now after 11 years Nikki’s time is up.


My dog Max is only 3 he’ll be 4 in April. I know he’ll miss Nikki, I know I will.
