Macworld 2009 what can i say?

Hmmm

where do i start? I really dont no it was just so disappointing.
I really really hope there is more to come, i mean come on steve sort it out.
The conference its self really did suck i mean the best part of it must have been the part about the battery life but even then there are two arguments about having a battery that isn't removable or replaceable.
just thought i needed to post a blog on this as i am sure many people will be talking about it for a while.
No new iMac
No new Mac Mini
No new iphone Copy and paste or picture messaging.

Not a good sign anyway its as if apple have actualy ran out of ideas i mean i love apple so much there still the best in my eyes but they will need to show us more of what they showed us last year to be able to keep there high standed.

Anyway enough of me babbling on
Drop me a comment i would like to here peoples opinions on it aswell

Thanks
CWD

i do agree with what your saying but what i am trying to get across is the point that everyone was bigging up Macworld this year as it was going to be the last one and so many things could have been done to improve there already successful systems such as the Mac mini and iMac. I think the reason that apple haven't done this is maybe the reason what your saying about how Macworld isn't there show but everyone knows that Macworld isnt Macworld without Apple so really it is there show meaning they are the main reason people go to Macworld to see apple and if they don't deliver the things people want to see they loose customers. The great side to Macworld this year is that software is still at its high. Higher than its ever been with new iLife 09 and iWork 09 also iMovie 09 which has hopefully over come the problems people had with iMovie 08.
Thanks for your comments

Indeed Mr. Dobson, that's my stance on it all too. If Apple were to announce everything all in one go we'd have a Microsoft on our hands, where it's all talk no walk, or the bits that do walk actually limp aided by a zimmer frame.

Last years Macworld saw them release the MacBook Air, 2.0 iPhone/iPod Touch Firmware, the App Store, MobileMe and some other things that all got on top of them and ended up being a partial disaster. MobileMe had a pretty bad start, the App Store had issues for he first few days with the servers dying and so on due to overloading then you have all the things related to the MacBook Air that had to be put in motion.

They did too much in too little time, so I think this time they've really cut down and are putting more focus on fewer things so they can get them right.

People always go on like Apple should announce everything at Macworld, like it's their own show. It is not Apple's show, and they know that, hence why they are in their last year of contribution. The reason I suspect, is because Apple don't want to feel pressured into making all the big announcements at the same time. Last year's WWDC, and the Notebook Event showed that quite clearly.

I am getting quite tired of all the claims that this years show was boring. It was not boring, dull or so on. There was still some very cool stuff announced. But given the very big announcements expected, such as Snow Leopard, iMacs, Mac Pro, and the Mac Mini, I think we can forgive them for affording a little more time to get them right. This is a very busy year for Apple after all.
