Is the current economic crisis for real?

Think about all the anxiety and suffering we are going through right now because of some very mysterious and hard to understand twist of fate. On the one hand it seems totally random but on the other hand many events have clearly indicated that this was bound to happen. However, it makes me wonder. Is this financial crisis for real or is it just another conspiracy created by some secret society of rich folks just wanting to get even richer and watch the rest of the world suffer? What with the governments of the world injecting even more money into those institutions who originally caused this whole mess in the first place; because of bad management or fraud or deceiving the public into believing that the sky was the limit when it comes to borrowing mountains of money. The traditional laws of economics state that the fittest will survive and those companies who blunder will just have to bite the dust. Instead of biting the dust, they cry out and apologize and warn of the coming disasters until they receive more and more money. That just doesn't make sense. I hope that in the end we recover from this mess, get to the bottom of all this and learn from our mistakes.
