I have no idea why, but I laughed when I first was told about this. Funny hey, Twitter is a looked upon a free and easy way to gain more fans and views. None of my friends are on twitter, mainly because they have no idea what it is and they won't use it enough. They didn't even know who Chris Pirillo was but that's a different story.

So Oprah has only been on for a couple of days (don't hold me against it) and she already has more followers than Chris. So does this mean she is twitter's new face. Most likely, she has got them so much more traffic and new members it is unbelievable.

So fellow geeks how do you feel about this? Is Oprah cashing in on this awesome service or is she there because she "feels" that she should "twitter" her fans?

My answer is that she is cashing in on the service, but hey that's my opinion. Whats yours?

I personally DON'T want to know what she's having for lunch or other details of her fabulous life.

I don't know if it isn't her that's a bit lazy.

I heard somewhere that Oprah had tons of followers even before she had started actually tweeting anything. Do we know if it's actually her using the twitter or is it someone doing it for her?

If there weren't enough reasons to NOT twitter, having Oprah as the face of Twitter is the clincher. Reason number one to steer as far away from Twitter as possible.
