Picasa (free), or the one that comes with Windows Live is more then a good replacement for iPhoto. I know some people that make some great movies with the built in Windows MovieMaker. If you want to go high end, SonyVegas will give FinalCut Pro a run for it's money. The thing is, there are so many choices out there for the PC, infinately more then any other OS, you can't miss on finding something to fill the bill, even great freeware.
