Reviews, News, and How To Geeks

Download Our Windows 7 Tips!

LOL. A person just joined our Geeks Site and he started a Discussion about the problem that he was having with Adobe 8. He stated that he couldn't open PDF files and I suggested that he uninstall the application and then download and install the newer Adobe Reader 9.

He tried, unsuccessfully, to uninstall Adobe Reader and then he put a message on my page, thanking me for my input and asking me if I had any other suggestions. I asked him to verify if he was actually an Administrator on his machine or just a Limited User. I, also, Googled his issue and found an answer on Adobe's Support Web Site.

I'm just curious if he just joined only to ask the question.

Well he came back asking the same question again. I guess he didn't look at his own page with the answer that I gave to him. So, I gave him the same answer again in his (I forget) Blog or Discussion.

Now we will play the waiting game again to see if he ever comes back just because he likes Geeks or did he only come here to get an answer to his problem.

How can one not return? The good company, the fun, friends... but alas no booze.
Happy New Year mate!

Even if they never come back, consider it an honorable thing to do.

True. This IS the place.

You 2 are a couple of the most willingly helpful people on this site. You provide great insight and advice. Me? I'll keep chucking in my two-bits anyway, for better or worse. lol :)))

Yep JT, the guy came on here to just use you. Feels terrible to be used and just thrown away doesn't it?

I am kidding you but hey, people get desperate and need help and will go anywhere to get it.

Yes Grant, at least he thanked me. I do feel a little better because of that fact.

Andrew, The only reason that I created this here Blog was because I have helped Newbies before and then they didn't even say thank you and they never came back. So, like Grant said, "At least he thanked me"...LOL

You may be right JT. I've seen a few cases where people joined, asked a question, then just buggered off. At least he thanked you after :)

Never know though. Maybe he'll come back.
