It seems as if the law gives us the middle finger every day. I cannot even begin to count how many times I see a police car ( without flashing lights or sirens on ) driving 10-20-or more miles over the speed limit crossing 2-3 lanes of traffic without signaling, and running red lights and on and on. It is so blatant it is ridiculous.
They are supposed to be the ones setting the standards?? Why would anyone expect anyone to follow the law when they so wistfully flaunt a giant F you at every other car on the road daily. Oh sure, right down their tags and complain. You don't think there will not be any backlash somewhere down the road?? I'd dare not even begin to try.

All I know is that I see this without exaggeration daily. I drive many miles a day, and while i know I am no angel, I do use signals and generally drive defensively and reasonably safe, I think. This kind of crap has to stop though. There needs to be some kind of accountability in these vehicles that can somehow manage and hold these morons that often times cause accidents too because of their holier than thou behavior.

Any thoughts, stories. Tell me I am dead wrong here.

Yep, I have some thoughts. I think the police force needs to obey the same laws that we do unless they have their lights on. People need to start reporting their activity to the department with strong complaints of how reckless they are. I have a feeling that the police chief will be put under the gun to straighten out this problem if enough people start calling to complain.

What do you think?

I agree with you RC. There definitely does seem to be some sort of double-standard when it comes to the law and cops following those same rules.
