It is insane I just just published a post and I have the itch to write again. I get this quite frequently and it feels good. But it is very annoying when you have no idea what to write about. Really annoying...

This seems to be a problem I face quite often. I want to blog but I can't because I have no ideas. Does this happen to you or am I just weird?

Man I just feel like I could type forever and ever without stopping. I am positive that this is not natural... Maybe mum drugged me, ha ha.

I enjoy writing as well from time to time over here. Since I have a server started up with Joomle 1.5.10 on it for some things that I am interested in doing over here as for hobbies, tech support, etc. And there is always something to write about . I sit in front of my computer about an hour or so everynight working on some kind of document in word. Once I finished the document I just post it on my web site after it is done. I am still in the works in creating the sections that I want on it for my personal website and the interests that I have. Makes things easier sometimes when you have a web server locally to work with.

It's just a matter of sitting own and hashing out the rough draft first then dive into afterwards in doing the writing for it. And any links and pictures to go with it afterwards.

That's just the ink in your veins. You're part octopus you see. It's a pretty common condition and usually quite benign. Most newspaper journalists and magazine editors have it since it helps them get their work done. The condition itself is usually passed on genetically, or from reading good books. Of course nowadays, there's things to read on practically every suface you encounter, so the condition is a lot more common than it used to be. Indeed, ever since the internet caught on, people have discovered just how common it is.

That's so true, if only it was that simple.

If you have nothing to say then say nothing.

What I do when I feel like writing and don't have a topic is look up 10 worst (fill in the blank) of whatever you like. Literally I google it. And you find a post and you just basically agree or disagree with it and state the link and where you found it. And then add lib and say what you do or don't like about something. It works well for me.

I have a folder on my hard drive which is full of ideas, jottings and paragraphs of stuff I intend to develop "sometime in the future". Of course, that "sometime" never comes.
The mistake I make and I believe most of us make, is that we think we have to write something useful or meaningful on a blog post. Of course, this has the opposite effect of stopping us from writing anything at all!! I believe that on a personal blog I should be able to publish anything I choose, whether it makes any sense or not. Then I can allow the rest of the internet to decide if it is worthy of comment. As soon as I decided on this course of action it is like I have cleared the writers block that I have had for many years.

It's not unnatural. I'm a pro-writer, and I often get such an urge -- but I don't always have what to scratch it with!
