Have you ever thought about what life would be like without food? I was talking to my sister recently, and a discussion about weed and alcohol turned into a discussion about food. We imagined how much money is spent by a person on alcohol and weed, and all the money that can be saved if only it weren't spent on it. She then proceeded to say that food is the same way.

"Not true," I rebutted, "you need food or you die." And then we got to thinking, "what would life be like without food?" If you didn't have to eat to survive, would you eat anyway? Would life be a lot easier since you couldn't starve to death? What would be happening with all that extra money? Would money start to lose its value simply because people would have more of it? People say money makes the world go round, but what about food? Isn't it food that makes the world go round?

Of course this is all an absurd exaggeration, but let it sit in your mind for ten seconds. Then you may go on living your life. I give you my permission.

I would love to find a way to live without food. I have many food allergies that cause all kinds of problems. I mean who can't eat any uncooked fruits and veggies? And who has to drink very little water and eat lots of salt? And who can't eat any meat but beef? That would be me. These are only a few of the annoying problems I have with food. Sometimes I just feel like screaming. When I was younger I was really hoping that vampires were real. That way I never had to eat again. I hope that they figure out how to do this. Not only for people like me. But we would stop spending so much money on world hunger. That would rule out at least one things plaguing this planet. We also wouldn't have to dedicate so much land to fields of food.

I agree with Jerry. I haven't lived at all.

I got a taste of it once but that doesn't really count, does it? The whole pudding was made by a chef. And the whipped cream was imported, not home-made....

I'm on my 7th day of life without food. It's called fasting. :)

Well to be clear: I'm taking water and honey and herbal tea. That's my "food".

Fasting gives you peace of mind: not worrying about what you're going to eat, what you need to shop for, what's about to go bad in your fridge, how much time you have or don't have to prepare a "good meal". And you start to realize how much of your brainpower and mood revolve around food. It's nice to have that "brain space" back.

Well CP, Define food. Potato chips, are "Food" also; but a much better idea, is to eat the "Source Material". Better for you're health; You DO need foods, just NOT Certain variety's, of.

I've been thinking of this same thing for awhile now. I love food. I would still eat food if I didn't have to, but I don't want to depend on eating food to survive. I need money for other things like rent and getting my car back to me from another state. :(
