TxNana,
Why not download the current RC version of Windows 7 now. It's very stabe and free to use till Aug. of 2010. I believe that by Mar. of 2010 you should purchase the retail version to avoid an annoying shut down feature.
This will get you prepared now for what I consider a great improvement over XP.
I currently run Win. 7 on one desktop and one laptop as the primary (only) operating system and have been very happy with it.

I leave it on, just in case something slips in and tries to change something. The only time it pops up is when I use Firefox or the WAMP server.

Thanks for the info but i am still on XP. I have Vista but not installed. I read up on things so i can learn. I think i do more reading than anything. :D

I slid the slider up to, "Always Notify"

The only warnings you get in the default mode are for programs that change to your computer.
Using the slider can further define that action.

Do you still have to right click everything like vista?
