So I am at work today. And I get there at 8:50 which is early. But not at 8:45. Yet I still get yelled at for so called. Being late ? Which at this point I am over. But It was one of those things where I think to myself. My schedhule I was given says 9am to 1pm. Which I am not complaining about the extra hours. But well yeah. At this point I am sort of wondering where my boss is. Cause I thought she rented a cargo van last night and left her personal car in the parking lot. So I look around the parking lot and am literally waiting near the door to the building, One of my co-workers Mark shows up and opens the door. To which I am shocked to see. Cause I always forget who is going to be here on Saturday to the simple fact they rotate saturdays between the 4 of them. That work for the company. For me I work every saturday. So I get to work and they tell me basically right away to take this cargo van to the toyota dealer. Which I take mark to toyota so that he can pick up a red cobalt. To pick up at least 3 of our 4 customers waiting to be picked up since the wee hours of the morning. They are never honestly happy because I am not sure what time the dealer opens but we don't open til 9 on satuday. Which the dealer opens at minimum an hour before us. Most of the time we have the cars clean for them at the branch. Last night we were literally fetching cars for the customers. And even told the customer the only car that we had was a cargo van. So this morning was crazy when it came to finding 4 cars a the start of the day. It meant one waying cargos to all the dealerships and trying to figure out the best way to keep the people in the office as much as possible. Well in the so called process of trying to figure out all these cars. The keys to one of the cargo vans went missing. Which is never good to lose keys. I sware I put it in the box that the customers return keys to enterprise for at the toyota dealer. I got back to the branch after dropping off the cargo to pick up the dodge caliber. And saw that I had the key to it in my pocket. And then went back to the dealer to see if I had taken the other key to the other cargo van and put it in the box. Which at this point I knew I had the key to the one that I just left behind at the dealership. But I swore I left a key at the dealer. So now I go back to the branch with the key to the cargo van. And go to the other dealership to make sure I didn't leave it in the box for the keys there? And still no key. So then I am looking around the parking lot and pretty much everywhere. And am like ? I don't think I ever had the key to that cargo van. I think she never gave it to me. Cause I got back to thinking about it. And Mark had the key to the cargo van that I drove. So that is why I put it in my pocket. Cause I was going to leave it there and their was no car. So I thought I would have to drive it back. When the lady was returning the car right when I was about to leave. And they told me to grab the first car that got returned and leave the cargo van there. So I went outside with the lady to get her stuff. Out of the rental car. Anyway so then I drive back and have the key to the cargo van that I thought was the other one. Which just proves that my short term memory is horrible. I never found the key as I left the building today. And to be even weirder. My fiancee Dmitri walks to my work unexpectedly ? Pops up ? Which he rarely ever does without me asking him ? SO I am sitting here thinking ok what did he find out or what did I do. (Not thinking I did anything) And of course today when he shows up somewhat well right when I am supposed to get off. I am at work for an extra hour. Trying to help them finish up the last few customers of the day. And The last car that I had to clean I had to drive another car to the dealership to try and pick up the car. And had to run it through the wash at the dealer. Then had to wait for the car detailer to move a chevy colorado out of the way so I could wash it. Which I already know that these people have been waiting a while. But it was pretty heavily mudded. So I said well it has to go through the wash. SO I ran it through the wash and drove it back. And started vaccuuming it and cleaning it out to the best of my capabilities as fast as possible. And my boss comes out and starts helping me now realizing that the car is filthy like I said literally covered in dirty. As I am vacuuming she is trying to wipe off the excess dirt that didnt come off in the car wash. And yeah so that is always fun. SO I am trying to feed the vacuum through the car so that she can wipe it down a little more. I tell her that it needs to be wiped down and she tells me it is good enough but she then realizes it is nasty. So she starts wiping as I vacuum. I wipe down pretty much the entire car and vacuum it at this point. I am tired my arm hurts. ITs just not good. Thank god. That was the last car of the day. Moral to the story is don't dirty a rental car to the point where it looks like offroading and be kind enough to spray it with the house ? Is that too much to ask for.
