childhood and geeks

when you were little did you ever think of being a geek like you are now? i sure dint lol. if you werent then tell us what you were thinking of being when you were just a child

Comment by SassySweetBren on December 30, 2008 at 9:43pm: Tex, I know what you mean. When I was young, I used to take radios and lawnmowers apart to try to fix them. Or, if anyone was working on a car, I wanted to help and learn. It didn't occur to me that I was being nerdy.

I also did a lot of other things like learn to play the piano, cooking, sewing, reading like a crazed kid, climbed trees, but I also found myself alone with my feelings a lot.

I planned to grow up and just get a job as a secretary. I mean all I wanted to do was get a job and take care of me. Then when I was older, I went back to college and got a degree in Interior Design. That was after I had worked at just about anything a person could do. I stayed bored until I found my niche in life.

I am an artistic and creative person. However, what I do that makes me happy is write poems and stories. They give me the chance to express my feelings...tons of feelings...things that people don't even know about me.

Now, I have found that I am a geeky kind of woman. Hey, I just add that to all the other things that I am.
