Download Our Windows 7 Tips!

So for the past 6 months I've had to suffer with 212mb RAM due to my main machine exploding and forcing me to use my HP/Compaq Pavilion a330 .

However i have great news i have been looking online for ram upgrades and i can get a 1GB Ram stick for £33.32 including VAT.

Not bad and a very good investment on my behalf as when i install it i will be able to install my Windows Vista Disc meaning i have an up to date Operating system and the capacity to play World of Warcraft Private servers and also Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare which i am buying this Friday from my friend for only £10 :D

I am very excited for this, however i will not be able to order the RAM upgrae until Monday at the latest as my money doesn't come until friday and i have to give my money to my mum to order it ... i hate not having a debit card -.-

If you have decided to improve to Vista, try to buy 2 GB RAM, and also store tons of patience. I have to machines. A desktop with XP and a portable with Vista. Recently I have purchased a license of XP...guess why?

I have a Vista disc that is called home premium lite

it fits on my 4 GB blank disc comfortably so i am confident it wont be too much strain on my system

Matt...if your machine has a capacity of 2 GB, do that at least. Take it from one who knows...I run my Vista laptop on 1GB, and while it can be done, I do not recommend it to anyone who does not have seemingly endless patience like I do. My laptop is expandable to 4 GB, and if I could afford it I would certainly do it. Vista Home Premium on 1 GB is not for the faint of heart...it requires the utmost in creative juggling of applications and pretty much rules out a good bit of multitasking...and this coming from someone who doesn't game or use a lot of RAM hogging apps.

as much as i agree 2 to 4gb would be good, unless you really want aero 1gb will run just fine. i ran vista on my machine with 2.93ghz single core celeron and 512mb ddr 333. and it ran pretty decent, now had i had a gig it would have flied.

Spend an extra bit of money and get at least 2GB, it's worth it, trust me.

dont do it mate 1gb of ram and vista is not worth iti did that first things are now a little better with 4 gigs 1 gig is a stupid thing to do if you know what will happen it is just painful looking and the bootup screen.
