With work and health issues, time sure flies. :(

I am at home nursing my wife after her major ear surgery (ear drum fix and cyst check/removal). Now I have time to write a little.

I noticed the hospital had wireless everywhere -- wireless networking, cell phone boosters, laptops in almost every doctor's hands. Nice. They could bring up data about a patient at will.

I sure hope they are changing keys regularly, turning off SSID broadcasting, and inputting an IEEE MAC address restriction list!!! They would not tell me and I got funny looks when I asked. :)

My wife is doing better today. The surgery was on Thursday this last week. They released her sometime before midnight. I will be staying home from work Monday and Tuesday and potentially Wednesday and Thursday also. The surgery makes her dizzy as does the medication. She can walk now and has more strength, but this will not be fully over for a week or more.

When Tony was in the hospital I found out the people there hate to answer questions of any kind. So it doesn't surprise me that the IT people there follow that spoken/unspoken rule.

I should have been clearer. I asked on of the IT folk running around fixing one of the wireless access points. :)

I hope your wife does well.

When you said you asked that question, I found it funny. Those people probably didn't know what you were talking about. They are health care people. Bet they know little about computers other than using them.
