Well hello everyone me Aramis Perez,
First off I would like to apologize for my eight month absence. A lot of things happened and I needed to be there for those I cared about and I needed to cool my head off during the summer, despite the fact I didn't get the chance to go to a pool.
But anyway on to the main point. After doing some research I was able to find a download link to Firefox 3.7 A1-Pre which oddly enough isn't being showcased at the firefox website for some reason. For the past months I have been hooked on Google chrome with the Developer builds which are very good I must say, but Mozilla have found their trump card. 3.7 which is code named "Minefield" runs incredibly rock stabled and loads everything very quickly.
I proceeded to run Minefield through some minor test:
-I had it load a 31 second HD clip and it loaded it in under 10 seconds.
-Passed it through a 40 second HD clip and it still loaded under 10 seconds.
-Had it play a 2:30 second HD video and it loaded it under 15 seconds.
-Finally I had it load a average length film that weighed in at 3:33 in HD and it loaded under 15 seconds.
I rendered it through the ACID 3 test and it passed it with a 96. although when it first loaded it stopped at 76 and then loaded up until 96. Google Chrome Developer build 4.1.233 loaded up until 69 stopped for a moment and passed the test with a perfect 100. Now its not a big difference to me and it doesn't matter but there are those who judge too critically, but in my opinion Minefield is better than Google Chrome at this moment. It loads videos a lot faster than Google Chrome and has no problems with website that are heavy with flash. And this build is only an Alpha build compared to a Developer build that has been consistently built for over a year. I will take the time to further test it and I do recommend you give it a try.
I will put up a link for download once I upload it.
