I'm now creating a series of new tutorials that will deal with installing and configuring various web-related software.

I'm in the middle of the first tutorial concerning MAMP. (Mac, Apache, MySQL & Php).

MAMP allows you to setup a server on your own computer. That way you can practice working with forums, etc.

I had to halt my tutorial for the night because I'm running Super Duper and my system bogs down.

Super Duper creates an exact clone of one hard drive onto another.

I don't like losing my stuff. I make clone copies of most of my hard drives.

This is the first clone copy of this particular hard drive.

The first clone copy always takes the longest because Super Duper goes through every file on the drive, and copies them to the new drive.

You're welcome. I had some trouble putting the tutorials together.

I chose to make individual screenshots, then narrate them in the form of a video. It didn't always translate very well.

I ended up wiping out the programs and reinstalling them before i finally gave up.

Ok, the tutorial has been uploaded here at Geeks, and over at YouTube.

I didn't realize I was almost done when I took a break.

I'll be resuming my MAMP tutorial today, once I wake up and get something to eat.

In the meantime, I started working on a WAMP (Windows, etc.) tutorial last night... I used my HP Notebook PC running Vista for that.

I also started doing screenshots for a phpbb3 tutorial.

I wondered why it took so long for phpbb3 to finish installing...

After awhile I disabled the antivirus program and it finished, instantly!!!

MAMP, it's sounds like XAMP then, better of (when you want to take your server serious) with a linux distribution to run apache...
And if you want to test without making security gaps in you system, you can use usb webserver

Sounds very interesting. I've been looking around on how to setup my own server, so I will definitely be following this.
