Iphone is Forbidden in Europe. I couldn't believe it at the first place. Its forbidden in Holland , and soon in the whole Europe too. Why? Because the batteries cant be taken out, and it can not be recicled. My birthday is soon, and I just wanted to buy it. I was terrefied. What do you think about it, guys? Answer me as soon as you can, please.

Dear Marko

The Iphone is not forbidden in Europe, not at all. Definatly not in Holland. The fact that the batteries cannot be taken out is not a reason to forbid something. In Holland, thousands of people have Iphones, just like in all of Europe. In some countries, like Belgium, simlocked phones are illegal, but the Iphone still is sold there, at the actual, non subsidised price.

I am in Europe at the moment, I can tell you with absolute certainty nobody will forbid the Iphone, definatly not for that reason.

It is however problematic in Egypt, as GPS devices need a license from the government there, just like in Syria and North Korea.

But Europe? Lord no.

My opinion:
I think Steve Jobs does not care about what the customer thinks, he just cares about selling licenses for mobile operators and making millions of $ for Apple.
I live in Dubai, we have a mobile penetration of 150% of the population, and we still didn't get it for any country in this region.
