Word of The Week: Consanguinity

This week's word comes from one of my all time favorite documents, The Declaration of Independence. Here's the passage;

They too have been deaf to the Voice of Justice and Consanguinity. We must therefore acquiesce in the Necessity, which denounces our Separation, and hold them, as we hold the rest of Mankind, Enemies in War, in Peace, Friends.

Definition:
–noun

1. relationship by descent from a common ancestor; kinship (distinguished from affinity).

2. close relationship or connection.
