Apple Update!

Yes, like always, they are getting mixed reviews -- but I'm lusting after an aluminum 13" MacBook like nobody's business.

Point 1: No mouse button. I adore that they've ditched the button. I have a year old MacBook and I never use my button. I have taps enabled and I use the gestures, so I almost never actually click the physical button.

Point 2: No FW port. I'm not upset about that either. Yes, target disk mode is out the window and that's sad. But in the 7 years I've been a loyal Mac user? I've never once used it. I've never used the FW port in my MacBook. I assume it works, but I also assume that unless there's a catastrophic hardware failure, I'll never know.

Point 3: Tiny. It's everything I loved about the MBA and none of the over-priced-but-under-powered-ness.

I have other points, but they're basically moot. My goal is not to argue that the new aluminum MacBooks are right for YOU, but that they are totally right for ME. ^_^
