New iPods - My Thoughts

I know the new iPods came out on Tuesday, and that this is old news, but I've been too swamped with school work to get much computer time. Anyway, here's my thoughts on the new iPods from Apple. iPod Nano When I first started hearing the rumors and seeing the leaked images of the taller, curved design, I wasn't impressed, and I couldn't see it as something Apple would do. Then I compared the silver one to the MacBook Air and realized a few similarities. First the curved design. I didn't… Continue

Wii Has Returned

On Friday, my family got our Wii back from Nintendo. We had sent it in for repair because it wouldn't power on. We figure it was the power supply. Nintendo was very quick about fixing it and sending it back, and they didn't just replace the unit. It had all the data still on it, and the disk that was stuck in there that we couldn't get out without power was still in there. All in all, I'm quite impressed with Nintendo because I haven't seen this kind of customer service since I went to the Apple… Continue

If only I had a copy of Windows

It's times like this where I really wish I had a copy of Windows. I don't care if it's XP or Vista, I just want it. I'm a Mac fanboy, but I completely prefer programming on Windows. Visual Studio is just way easier for me than Xcode. I could also get back to brickfilming because of the darn Logitech drivers. Maybe for my birthday which is coming up in 12 days. Continue

Power User Web Browser

On the live stream, I heard Chris talking about a dream web browser for Power Users. Some features included Webkit, Gecko extensions, clean UI, ect. I think I'm up to the challenge. iSurfer is heading the way of ease of use, so I'm thinking of splitting my web browser development into 2 separate projects: iSurfer and an unnamed browser that is currently codenamed "Indigo". Let's see how this goes... Continue

Flash Drive Mods

I have a 512MB PNY Attache flash drive that was sitting in a hot USB port, and when I pulled it out, the silver plastic case slid off the translucent green case around the actual hardware. I've been thinking of modding this drive for a while. Without the plastic, it's pretty compact. Any ideas of what I should do? LEGO is certainly an option, but I consider myself a LEGO purist, and I don't know if I'd care to hollow out a brick for the sake of case modding. Continue

iSurfer 2.0 Beta 2 By the end of the Weekend?

I'm working on iSurfer 2.0 as fast as I can, at least when I have time to use the Windows PC upstairs, and it's coming along quite smoothly. Most of the bugs have been squashed, and I just need to fill it in with essential features that I haven't added in this version of iSurfer yet. iSurfer Continue

iMacs

I'm thinking about getting some iMac G3's and possibly a G4 lamp for my room as decorations. What do you think? I have a bondi blue wall, and a lime wall, each with an opposite stripe on them. Ideas? Continue
