This is the video that was disabled (obviously I re-uploaded it):
Boring? Maybe. Inappropriate? Um, no...
I don't see anywhere to submit an appeal or contact someone - do any of you guys know if there's a way to fight this? It's not a huge deal about the video, but some of my friends have had their accounts deleted without warning, and I'd hate to have to start over from scratch. Continue
Oh, and added bonus? If you do these things, you'll be opting out of systems that are dysfunctional - like the mainstream food system - and supporting new and/or local systems that are better for all of us.
So, what are YOUR tips for saving money? Tell us here. Continue

It just blows my mind that THIS is the best they can do. That instead of looking at ways to reduce healthcare costs so more Americans could afford coverage, their knee-jerk reaction is to tax our businesses to help fund their $2 trillion "plan."
I want people to be able to afford healthcare. I just don't see how that can happen if every move Congress makes increases the burden on our alread… Continue

Congress is at it again, with a new draft food safety bill expected to go to legislative hearing this week. While the details have yet to be worked out, it's looking very similar to HR 759, which suffered from the usual one-size fits all approach coupled with overly broad language.
This is a BIG DEAL... here's why:
This is an important (yet horrifying) example of ill-conceived, reactionary legislation h… Continue

Our food freedom is under attack! HR 759 has eclipsed HR 875 as a danger to America's small farmers. Currently in committee (and more likely to pass), NOW is the time to act to stop this threat to our freedom to buy, grow and eat real foods. A vote is expected by Memorial day.

I just got back from DrupalCon 2009, which is a tech conference for people who use Drupal (an Open Source Content Management System). My site, BreakTheMatrix, is built using Drupal, so I wanted to see what cool things people are doing in the realm of Open Source development. I wasn't disappointed!
Thanks for watching, and as always, please pass along, rate, stumble, favorite, etc. if you like it!

This week's bytestyle was going to look at the broadband stimulus, and why it won't work... until I stumbled across a very active group on twitter, taking action to fight the stimulus bill as a whole. They asked me to join forces with them, and help spread the word about their super-easy plan to stop the stimulus bill.
In case you need convincing, here's what I was in the early stages of compiling for my broadband stimulus episode:
