Geeks Update September 25, 2008

Kilogeek Edition Hello fellow Geeks! I have had a busy week so far. I finally launched my 24 hour stream at Rock-Tech.tv which can be viewed here on my Geeks! profile as well. I also recorded a question video for the Ustream.tv group asking "How do you upload Ustream Videos to YouTube?" I will be featuring the Geek that… Continue

Geeks Update September 20, 2008

I have found it kinda irritating trying to align this blog with my main blog at Rock-Tech.tv. I have decided to adjust the way I blog on Geeks. The Geeks Update will focus on Geeks, Lockergnome, and Chris Pirillo Live related material only. I might talk about cool profiles, groups discussions and other topics from Geeks. I might add on to a topic from the Live Chat, or maybe put in my thoughts from something I saw in the… Continue

I Have Been Drafted

Here I am, a proud member of the United States Air Force. I thought that I would be spending the upcoming winter in the comfort of my warm apartment in North Dakota. I guess I was wrong. It looks like I have been drafted to enlist in the Army. The TWiT Army. The TWiT Army is yet another Twitter clone that is ran by Twit.tv featuring Leo Laporte. Like other micro-blogging status sites in its catagory, TWiT Army provides 140 characters per post to its users for free. The feature that stands out t… Continue

Mogulus Problems... CozmoTV Solutions

Well I am currently working on a website project called Rock-Tech.tv. It focuses on mixing modern rock (Metallica, Korn, Slipknot, Nickelback, ect.) with all things tech. I figure that if I am a geek that loves this kind of music then there are bound to be others out there. So the site will have a constant stream dedicated to the above mentioned topic set. The stream was an embed from the video broadcast site Mogulus. The nice feature about Mogulus was that it allowed me to aggregate videos fro… Continue

Flash Crash! @#$%*

Chrome Update: I have noticed that the Flash plugin is not as stable as I would like right now. I am finding myself going back to Firefox to view videos. RE: Putting an End to Platform Lock-In

Matt Hartley wrote: http://geeks.pirillo.com/profiles/blog/show?id=2300301:BlogPost:15481 One thing I will never miss from my days in the PC repair business was having to explain to a client that their PC was no longer. The matter goes from bad to worse when there are concerns regarding the expense for people on a fixed income. It can be heart breaking when these individuals use their machines for such things as keeping in touch with family and no longer have that ability. I have donated my ow… Continue
