My Top 5 Favorite iPhone Apps

This blog post is from my iPhone blog at iphone.spaghettio.com. There are a ton of iPhone apps that I use on a regular basis. If I had to pick out five, these would be it. 1. Tweetie (iTunes Link)… Continue

My Genius Bar Experience

This post is cross posted from my blog at Joe.spaghettio.com. Today, I headed out to the Apple Store in Shadyside to get a problem fixed with my iPhone. The problem with my iPhone was that the ring/silent switch was loose and it was extemely easy to switch the modes. Also, when it was in silent mode, and you shook the phone next to your ear, you could hear something rattling inside. I had a Genius Bar appointment for 3:50, but, of course, I arrived late. If you have ever arrived late for a Gen… Continue

Logitech: Will You Go Out With Me?

Have you ever spilled water on your keyboard? I know I have. Just this morning actually! About a year ago, I bought a wireless Logitech keyboard and mouse at Target for about $60.00. When I unboxed it, I was intruiged to find that there were holes in the bottom of the keyboard. I have continued to wonder what these holes were for until this morning. I was thirsty, so I went out and got a glass of ice cold water. When I came in to my room, I set the cup down on the desk and turned around. That is… Continue

One Big MacWorld Post

Instead of doing one post on each thing that Apple announced at MacWorld (because that would be extremely time consuming on my part), I figured out that it would be easier for me to just do one big post to tell you my thought without doing a summary of the products. iLife ‘09 See this post here. iWork ‘09 Even though I don’t have a Mac (I currently use Word) I want the new iWork suite so… Continue

The new version of this sweet is called iLife ‘09. The applications that make up the iLife suite are iWeb, iDVD, iPhoto, iMovie, and Garageband. All of the applications got an update at the keynote but the ones that Apple really did seem to want to focus on were iPhoto, iMovie, and… Continue

iPod Touch Version 2.2 Firmware... Not so great...

Most of you may have heard of the new iPod Touch firmware version 2.2. I downloaded it last night an so far, I haven’t liked it (some, not alot). Podcasts: The new ability to watch podcasts is great! When it works. Which is rarely. Before everyone jumps on me, yes, I have reset my iPod touch while holding the power and home buttons and turned it on and off mutiple times to see if it would fix the problem. It did not. It gives me one of two errors. 1) This movie could not be played. 2) This mo… Continue

Taggalaxy.de

Tonight while I was surfing around the web, I came across the neat little website called taggalaxy.de. What is taggalaxy you may ask? Well, as the title states, it is a new way to browse Flickr. When you first get to taggalaxy, you will be presented with a prompt that asks you to do is to type in a Flickr tag. Once you type in this Flickr tag, taggalaxy will go out and search Flickr for photos with that tag. When it is done, it will come back with them and displ… Continue

My thoughts: October 2008 Notebook Event

These are the new laptops that Apple released during the October 2008 Notebook Event. Today Apple Inc. unleashed three new laptops onto the world. Two out of the three take cues from the iMac's book and have a black bezel. There was one change to the Macbook Air and major redisigns of the Macbook and the Macbook Pro. Here is a summary of the event and my thoughts. Apple has a larger market share which is great for them. In the last quarter, they sold 2.5 million Macs. Already this year, 2008,… Continue
