All these great MAC packages..... yet... none appear to be able to IMPORT a current site!
Are these apps just aimed at a first timer? Don't they want people to convert to their amazing software?

... I start to mull over and ponder over stuff that is overpriced, but at the moment I feel I'd like to have and play around with for a bit.

Feeling like I should tidy up the pit here, I decided to power up the spare machine to see what I had installed on the hard drive. Seems I still had a copy of Ubuntu on it, so logged in and decided to do the upgrade to 9.10.

This is something I believe in, but based on no facts other than what I have seen before my very eyes.
You buy a computer system. Any type of computer system. You start it up, you use it, and it performs like a bat out of hell (unless you bought a cheap piece of crap and no matter what it will always be a cheap piece of crap).

For me, the expectations of what Snow Leopard would provide users who need access to Microsoft Exchange email and calendar functionality is an extreme letdown from what I can work out.

I purchased an IMAC 24" unit a few months ago as I thought it was time for me to get into them as I could see more of my clients buying these beasties and I have to keep up and ahead of the clients so I can sort things out for them and of course.. make money!

I am in a fortunate position of working with computers for a living, running my own business, and in general I have access to just about anything I wish access to, but I was reading a number of posts regarding people buying a PC vs the MAC (groan I know) and how you can upgrade your PC whereas you are stuffed if you buy yourself a MAC.
I must be in the minority as through the years as my PC's have become old, I do not upgrade them with extra bits, I just go out and buy a whole new range of kit…

If you find that your web browser works on a main page but you cannot get to any links from the main page, check to see if you have this irritating plug-in installed on your system. Remove it by using ADD/REMOVE programs and you should be back up and running again in no time.

Just took a delivery of 5 new Dell Laptops the other week, and I was on holiday.
I have been sitting here setting them all up for my client, when I open the 4th box and find that the letter "M" is missing from the laptop keyboard! Not only that, there is no sign of it in the secure box, nor inside any packaging, it's been nicked!
I mean to say... if it was inside the box I'd think, rough handling, but c'mon, not in the box tells me that someone has stolen the key!!!!

First of all, I am new to the IMAC after spending all my timeusing PC's. Well, I'm sitting here after having a few BUDs and have my Sennheiser headphones on... plugged into the imac... the audio coming through my alcohol dampened brain is incredible! I've now switched across to the PC I have here and am listening to the same tracks in itunes, but, they are different!!!! The PC is MUFFLED! ARGH!!! Either that or I am suffering some sort of audio breakdown due to the BUDS!

I won't go over stuff I have already written about on my other blogs, but since buying this new IMAC 24" my interest in computers and technology has came back into life again.
I have a spare PC here with the new Windows 7 on it, yet, I cannot be bothered to power it up and play around with it, and my main work machine with Vista is sitting here doing what it does best, the money making and technical support side of my business, while I sit here on the IMAC listening to music, and actually relax…

What a weird experience yesterday was!
For the first time in over 10 years at least, I have actually had a bit of excitement in the computer sector. I have been working in the IT field for so long that I am jaded in new hardware, new software etc on the PC front, but for some weird reason, ever since I bought this 24" IMAC, the fun and the excitement has come back into the computer field for me.

I have been working with the PC market for over 20 years now, and in that time I have used just about every type of kit out there and also operating systems. Way back in the early days, the look and feel of the first GUI was basic to say the least, but as time has went by, everyone has been making their GUI better and better, and also doing their best to try and have a standard look and feel for everything.
