I haven't really been visiting. Too darn busy. But my recent quest has been to upgrade my computer. My birthday is coming up and well I am planning to get a better motherboard and CPU for my desktop turned tower.
A few nights ago, I used one of my new Towers and put of the guts of my desktop (Antec case) into a Powerspec case. All was good, had a bit trouble remembering the jumper settings but finally got that figuring I forgot to provide power to the switch. Once all the kinks were taken care…

Warning . . never ever leave your computer unsupervised for a second. I mean come on, . . . wait lets back track. I love discovering all kinds of toys and any information on technology. . especially software on how to make my life more simpler.
I have compiled a list of all kinds of programs for password recovery. Well the idea makes sense. Hey its great to have things out there to recover a password when you forget it. But . . what happens when those apps fall into the wrong hands. Hell i foun…

I have a Windows XP Home Desktop and a Windows Pro laptop. Usually, I am using a separate keyboard and mouse for the desktop and another mouse and keyboard for my laptop. This can get pretty tedious. Switching from one to the other. Someone recommended me using Synergy to share just the one set. But geez, how much of a pain setting that up was.
What I did, was provided the computer names for each computer. I then noticed the names were slightly incorrect and still no luck after correcting them.…

Its the little things that can make me all warm and fuzzy inside. The USB nic adapter allows you to quickly install and connect to the internet. Every time I use it, I feel like I have saved myself from a gruesome method of finding drivers.
I mean, lol, i have a few friends who forget to back up their drivers before reinstalling their OS. First i chew them out and then realize who i am talking to. Followed by me using the portable nic to recover all their drivers for their computers.
And it onl…

I am studying for my Network Plus. . . and so far I just finished chapter two of my second Network + book. This book will hopefully close the door or anything I may have missed during the first book.
But at the end. The book provides small little projects or whatnot for me to do or look for in addition to what I've read in the chapter.
So I thought for any of you who are practically in the same boat as I will like to share my findings.
So right now. . . I have been given the task of going to…

Throughout my time, like most of us, I have depended on Windows for productivity, educational purposes and so on. On occasion i would touch basis with attempting to see what Linux had to provide, but never fully got the chance to try it out. I would at the very least install Suse or Fedora, maybe even Ubuntu. And play with them for a minute, but this was only after taking a class that called on me to install them.
After installing Ubuntu once again. I had I a reason for doing it. I liked the ef…

Boy I had the whole day planned. Get off from work and well. . . i had a few things to research and well of course an assignment was due. In addition, I have a buddy to chat with.
To my heartwrenching discovery, our internet was DOWN! AW MAN! Was I flipping all over the place. Kicking this and that. Cussing at the ISP under my breath. I mean, honestly, it wasn't that deep. NOT! Yes it was. I had things to do. I mean come on. For most of us in this world we live off the internet. There was so ma…

Hey, I just installed Ubuntu 9.04. Not just the normal installation method; partitioning and all the crazy stuff. I didn’t have to worry about booting out of my windows just to install a second OS.
Wubi Method! Wubi stands for just that. It’s a simplified method of doing things. And that’s what Wubi, which is an application that simplifies the setup of installing Ubuntu without all the other mess in installing.
It’s an Ubuntu installer to safely install and remove. On installation, it has you…

A new company has taken over, in the beginning they said not too much was going to change, only the name on our shirts and our names. Dont worry about a thing. But we all know thats not all true. We felt it. But what can we do.
But lately, some of our jobs were in question. I for one have nothing to worry about I dont think. I just wish they tell all of us in the beginning whats about to happen. So we wont be taken by surprise. And be worried for two months straight. Whats going to happen. That…

I live in South Euclid (Cleveland), Ohio, and have been discussing with many of my friends and old affiliates to open up a computer club. But not necessarily a club, but a place where we all tech savvy people can engage in a technical networking environment discussing whatever comes to mind, showing off our new toys, getting assistance on latest projects we might be working on like myself, but also people bringing in their computers for technical support, which includes a little money extra mone…

I did one before but it was for my graduating project. And it was just a basic set of guidelines and well it was good enough, granted the fact that i was working with three others. Now, i am taking the initiative to work on it by myself as a new project/hobbie. With new information and options to deploy so much in a network i want to have a little little fun.
I know it will probably last my entire life span, lol, but it will be a great learning experience and can go hand in hand with the Networ…

In the eyes of a lot of people in my life, I am a super hero when it comes to computers. I’m like this hacker . . . better watch out! But I’m not. Or wow! . . . She knows how to take a computer apart and put it back together. She knows stuff. . . . True I do know stuff . . . but I’ve yet to learn everything I need to know in this day and age.
But I have come to the conclusion that I need to create my own blog site. Not to add to the so many that’s out there. But my reason is simply, I feel with…
