Quick How-To: Fix MacBook Pro boot issue after removing Boot Camp.

This is my shortest How-To ever. So, You just removed a Boot Camp partition from your MacBook, and now when you boot you have to hold Option, or it says "No Bootable Device". The fix? Simple. Just flash your Pram by rebooting and holding Cmd+Option+P+R. You should hear a second bong, and all will be back to normal. Thanks for reading! SphereCat1 Continue

What? No How-Tos? Gasp!

I know, I've missed several weeks of How-Tos. I apologize for that. But I'm working on it! To do a How-To, I have to find something cool first, and it's been somewhat dry in that area recently. But, rest assured I'm looking every day! I'm gonna try to create a backlog of cool stuff before I start again, so I never run out of stuff to talk about. Thanks for reading! SphereCat1 Continue

Tweets.sh v1.3 released!

Hey guys! Just a quick update. I've released version 1.3 of tweets.sh, which adds support for three new special characters: less-than, greater-than, and double quote. It also now shows any error messages that may appear in the feed, including when you go over the requests-per-hour limit! That's right, no more mysteriously disappearing tweets! Download it while it's hot! Only known issue with this version is that it creates a file in the… Continue

Update on Tweets.sh!

Hey guys! Just thought I'd give you an update on why the Twitter RSS feed sometimes conks out while using Tweets.sh. It turns out Twitter limits RSS requests to 100/hour, so the theoretical lower limit would be to update every 36 seconds. However, during setup, you're likely to refresh many times, so it's best to set the refresh rate really high while formatting things and screwing with it. That should help you avoid hitting the limit and causing it to go blank. However, if you do reach the lim… Continue

If you don't already have GeekTool, now's the time to install it. This project is fairly easy to s… Continue
