Are You Looking For A Website Design?

One of my business partners is a web designer of Lonick Internet Solutions. He's offering a massive discount for anyone interested in having a design created for their website. The price for a new website design usually costs $250. However, he told me that he would create a design for any of you for $99. I couldn't believe that he was going to give that huge of a discount and I thought it was very generous. I thought this was something worth shari… Continue

Innovation: A Problem For Apple?

I have done this report for my Project Management class about Innovation at Apple and it encouraged me to do a blog post about it. First off, I have wondered whether or not innovation at Apple was positive or not. Why would I even question this you may ask? Well, my reason was because of one key point – price. Apple has always held true with their customers in delivering quality products and a brand people have come to know and trust. They have definitely made Microsoft scramble and sweat. Micro… Continue

How Do You Surf The Web?

I’m going to get straight to the point with this post. First of all, we all use the internet today for a variety of reasons. Whether it be email, social networks, or just surfing the web. Yes, the internet is definitely how we interact the most in this high tech world. Although, I am always hearing people argue about what is the best browser to surf the web with? I mean, I hear this all the time! It’s seems to be one of the most desired questions that want an answer. Now, for all those reading…t… Continue

Pirillo's Epoch Clock

Chris Pirillo’s Epoch Clock for the first time since starting it up in 1996, now says “1234567890.” It will never say this again and now I can say while watching his live stream at http://live.pirillo.com that I was there… Continue

Switching to Feed Burner

I know in a past blog I told you all how I wasn’t into the way Feed Burner had its layout, but I am going to have to get use to it because the free service Zookoda that I was using in the past for people to subscribe to my blog is freezing accounts as of Feb. 1st 2009. Those who have accounts with them will no longer be able to log in once that date arrives. So, I am now using Feed Burner to get statistics about my blog and using the service as well to allow people to subscribe. I was pretty for… Continue

FeedBurner vs Zookoda

Which one of these is better for getting people to susbscribe to your blog and keeping them informed of new posts? Well, I would have to say FeedBurner does offer more, but Zookoda is simpler and a lot easier to work with. I feel FeedBurner is too cluttered with many features and is overwhelming. That’s not to say its a bad site for promoting your blog because it is good, but it has too much going on for me. They are both free which is a plus, but if you are considering either one of these sites… Continue

Facebook Virus: FYI

There’s a virus occuring right now on Facebook. It got me becaue I was dumb enough to click the link in the comment. What happened to me was, I got a comment from one of my friends saying pictures of me were posted on a website. Now, my friend wasn’t actually who sent this because he got hit with the virus as well. Don’t acknowledge the comment that you get sent because your account will get hacked & spam comments are sent saying its from you. I wanted to notify everyone about this. Continue

Face In Hole Website

My friend told me about a funny site where you can take pictures of your friends and family that you have and take their head and place it into other photos of celebrities, sports players, etc. It's very easy to do and is definitely worth a look. My friend had a ball playing around with this free feature the website offered. I think anyone who tries it out will have a lot of fun! The website is hard to get into detail about because its a little difficult to explain so go to the website listed be… Continue

Tech Crunch and Slash Dot

I just recently checked out these two blogging sites related to tech. I think they are both very informative and worth giving a look at. I'm sure a good amount of you have seen it already and if you have please comment and let us all know what you like about it. I was recommended to check these sites out and I was definitely impressed. I like Tech Crunch more because there is more related to the "tech world" I want to know about and the illustrations next to each blog give me a better feel on wh… Continue

Dual Monitors

I have wanted to set up dual monitors for a little while now. I find it really cool to switch from one monitor to another, while using the same mouse and keyboard. It also really helps with productivity and organization. The only thing is I'm not too sure of how the setup works. I have done some searches through the web, but that hasn't really helped me enough. I have the second monitor in my room, but the Dell Dimension 2350 desktop I have now doesn't have the graphics card to support dual moni… Continue

Wireless Card

A couple of days ago, I purchased a Rosewill RNX-G300LX IEEE 802.11b/g PCI Wireless Card for my desktop at home. Once I return home I will install it into my desktop. I've had my desktop in the basement for many years now and I felt it was time to move it into my room. I was tired of having to walk down there to use it. I needed the wireless card because before I was connected through an LAN connection, which you all probably figured out by now. I couldn't move the modem wires circulated through… Continue

Mozilla Firefox 3.1 Beta

I can honestly say that Mozilla Firefox is the best web browser I have ever used. Now, I know there will be objections to that due to everyone having their own opinion on their favorite web browser. Although Firefox is famous for its add-on feature, the release of their new 3.1 beta browser is really impressive. Let me note once again, this free web browser is only available in beta right now. The two main features that are incorporated into Firefox 3.1 beta are a tab button and a feature that a… Continue

Surf The Channel

There is this great website that is both free and legal to use that allows you to watch free television shows and other programs. I have used it many times, in fact I use it now to catch up on my favorite television show Boy Meets World that I loved as a kid and still love it to this day. What is so great is that it has every episode and every season! It's such a great website for me due to the fact that only 3 seasons of Boy Meets World were released on DVD. Now I can see the other 4 seasons I… Continue

Operating Systems

I have noticed that many people dislike the Windows Vista Operating System. I will say that in my opinion, I believe Windows XP is the best OS for Windows. I believe all around, Mac OS X Leopard is the most powerful. Although comparing a Mac to Windows isn't a comparison. Mac is superior to Windows. That's just what I think. As far as my original comment about Vista...I believe it has a nice look to it, but its very slow. There are bugs in it, just like with any new operating system that need to… Continue

Outlook 2003 vs. Outlook 2007

I use Outlook 2003. I like what it has to offer and its simple to manage. I thought Outlook 2007 looks too complicated and what they added into the program didn't really seem necessary. I like using email clients to manage email. I have used Thunderbird in the past as well, but I don't really care to use that program anymore. I feel in general that Office 2007 is too complicated and by Microsoft changing the interface, it makes it more difficult to find what you are looking for. I was wondering… Continue
