A British couple who married in a "lavish" Second Life wedding ceremony in 2005 now are in the process of divorcing after one of them had an alleged "affair" in the online world called Second Life. Amy Taylor, 28, said she had caught husband David Pollard, 40, having sex with an animated woman. The couple, who met in an Internet chatroom in 2003, are now separated.
"I went mad -- I was so hurt. I just couldn't believe what he'd done," Taylor said. "It may have started online, but it existed ent… Continue

iphone-3g
The Wal-Mart/iP3G rumor has been swirling for months now and the latest word on the street is that Wal-Mart will be selling the iPhone 3G. But there’s a catch. It’s going to be a 4GB version for $99 with a two-year agreement. Possible? Sure.
There is no reason why Apple would not be interested in working this deal with a national retailer like Wal-Mart, sales would be amazing. Especially at the price point. Most people who buy the 4G model probably just want in on the best selling ha… Continue
When news spread that John McCain had picked a former beauty pageant lady as his vice presidential running mate, I thought: "Where's the footage of the swimsuit contest? Where's the youtube video with millions of hits?"
Well this may just be your lucky day if you were thinking like I did. Below is the footage. It could easily be a fake. But hey, you be the judge:

In my opinion anyway...but check it out for yourself. It has a similar feel to the first one, but this one is actually funny. It's kind of long though which makes me wonder how often they can really use it. They debuted it during Big Brother yesterday though so it is possible.

JJ Abrams's new show premiered tonight. I would have to say I really liked it. It had a nice twist of Alias and X-Files. Hopefully Abrams can improve on Alias which sort of fizzled out after awhile but the X-Files feel was definitely a welcomed one :). What did you guys think? Continue
The new iPod touch is out and it's got a new design similar to the iPhone, but thinner. It now includes external volume controls as well, which I have to say was a great move (as a first-gen iPod Touch owner). It also has Nike+ integrated with no transmitter needed (I guess that's great for you runners out there, but I wouldn't trust myself running with this thing...too precious). Another new addition is to the software which now has an on-the-fly genius playlist creation (included in the new iP… Continue
There's no subtitles, but you can sort of figure out what the Japanese are talking about, but some are similar to the American ads. Check em out!
UPDATE: Got some UK commercials too!

For those of you not familiar with zinio.com, it's a site that lets you get magazine subscriptions that you can download straight to your computer or view online. I was on earlier today using Chrome (now my default browser btw) and there was a link that asked me if I wanted to download the reader to my Mac (I'm using a PC). This is because Safari and Chrome both use Webkit at their core as many of you know, but I just thought it was funny so I decided to share it with my fellow geeks! Continue

Hey all, just beat Condemned 2 and I enjoyed it so much I figured I'd share my review of the game with y'all.
I need to first start by saying that this game is FREAKY. The developers really made you afraid to turn the corner should something pop out at you. The game is really dark too which adds to the spookiness when lights blow out or blink and what not. There's also p… Continue

In a not-so-surprising turn of events, Microsoft hacked down Xbox 360 prices, with the Arcade model going even cheaper than the Wii ($199). One analyst believes that the PlayStation 3 might be on the losing end this holiday season. But is Sony concerned? No, not really.
Sony's Julie Han explains: "We'll obviously see the natural lift [in sales] with the price cut, but how sustainable is that in the long term?" In case you're wondering: no, they still don't have any plans to cut prices for the P… Continue

The title probably says it all - and I would rather not touch this subject since all the fanboys are going to be up in arms. But report I must. So let me just tell you what someone ELSE said...
Jesse Divnich of Electronic Entertainment Design and Research (EEDAR) is forecasting that for this year's holiday season, the PS3 might be taken down by down to the Xbox 360, while the Nintendo Wii shouldn't worry about anything at all.
His forecasts seem to hinge on the fact that the Xbox 360 has recen… Continue
Gotta hand it to PNY. In an attempt to differentiate its USB keys from other companies, the usb/memory maker will attempt to sell a 2GB USB flash drive with the movie Ghostbusters pre-installed. But will anyone buy it? I'm sure there will be a price increase for this as well so at the end of the day it may not be the most popular buy. Continue
The official soundtrack album to Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog was released today on iTunes and we saw a tweet on the official Dr. Horrible Twitter: "HOLY CRAP. Just woke up to #2 album on iTunes US, and #1 on iTunes UK. We thank you thank you." (They even have liner notes and lyric sheets). Nice work Dr. Horrible guys. Ya done good. Continue

Gizmodo posted an interesting blog today about how by using Chrome you agree to lose the rights to everything you create on the browser. This is a strange move by Google, but then again, this does bring them one step closer to world domination so I guess it makes sense. Here's the important stuff from the EULA:
11. Content license from you
11.1 You retain copyright and any other rights you already hold in Conten… Continue
Google just released the beta for their new browser called Chrome. To see a fully in depth hands on by lifehacker.com, click the link below. The browser is the fastest I have ever used both in terms of starting up and loading pages. It's amazing light for such a feature packed browser. It's not without its problems however. It's an early build so there isn't much to mess with, but it has the BEST features from every browser out there (and even some features you have to install plugins for in oth… Continue
