Went to the Florida Renaissance Fair with the wife and had an awesome time. Once we arrived, it took about 20 minutes to finally get parked and start walking towards the front gate. While in the ticket line, the gentleman in front of us offered us two $3 off discount coupons… Continue
Okay, I am over in IRC as we speak and people are like 'Chris gets paid to sit on his computer all day, sign me up.', and 'I cant believe Chris gets paid to sit there'. PEOPLE, WAKE UP!!!! It's not like Chris woke up one day and said, 'Hey, let me stream my life.' and the money came rolling in. Remember people, Chris has been doing this for YEARS and YEARS! I am not going to make this blog post into a resume' for Chris, but lets get real, the man is WELL-KNOWN in the industry. Hell, he heads his… Continue
I have been married to my best friend for 9 years (Jan 1 2000), but have been together since 1994. We have three sons. Chris who is 13, Jonathan who is 7, and Ashton who is 4. I like all kinds of music, but really like freestyle dance music and house music. I know, weird combination. I have been a mobile DJ for over 20 years. I now do it as a hobby. I have DJ'd for several internet radio stations. I am into custom cars. I am the president of a car club. I have been doing car shows for almost 20… Continue

From what I have seen at various locations on the net, Windows 7 is a good package for those upgrading from Vista. If you have XP, you can not update to the public beta. And I quote, "The beta, which Microsoft called "feature complete," requires a PC with a 1-GHz processor, 1GB of memory,… Continue
I was shocked to find my profile featured here on GEEKS. I have been following Mr. Pirillo (Chris as many call him) since his early days of lockergnome.com newsletters. I have been a subscriber for what seems likes AGES. Then when he used to be a Call for Help caller, I said, 'Hey, I know about him'. Then when he went on to host Call for Help on TechTV, I thought it was awesome. To see someone that had gone from computer geek caller to actual host of the show was so cool. And to actually had mad… Continue
BELT BAGS/WAIST PACKS
Let's start with fanny packs and other belt/waist packs. They're a comfortable and convenient way to have a handgun with you if needed. Most of the packs have some type of rear compartments with a tab or loop sticking out that you tug on to open the quick-release zipper. The front of the packs have one or more compartments for personal items, many holding no more that keys, some change and a comb or tube of lipstick, but there are larger packs available that hold mor… Continue
My wife works for an international law firm in downtown Miami (Hogan & Hartson). They are a pretty well established firm. Well they had their christmas party this year at the Ritz-Carlton in Key Biscayne Florida. The party was scheduled to start at 7:30pm so I had my wife book us a hotel room at the Ritz. The room rate was $310 per night. I said, how often can I afford to stay a night in a 5-star resort, so we went ahead and booked it.
Let's first talk about the MANDATORY $30 per car valet c… Continue

Well this weekend, I converted my dining room table to a gaming table and brought out the books, minis, dice, pencil, paper, and laptops and decided to run my beautiful wife through a 3.5 edition game. This was a learning process since this is the first time the wife and I have played 3.5 edition (we mainly play 2nd edition). A friend is DMing a game at a local RPG shop and we wanted to run through a couple games first to learn the ropes with 3.5 edition. I will post an adventure log along with… Continue

Well yesterday I went to a local historical spot called Fairchild Botanical Gardens. I went with the wife and one of our Wicked Chic models, MissBoosted. To say that the girls got alot of stares is putting it mildly. They were both dressed in their schoolgirl skirts with black 5" heeled shoes and wearing their pink Wicked Chicz t-shirts. One photography group even asked to take some photos of the girls. I got some cool pictures of some plants, the girls, and even a few lizards :) You can check o… Continue

I am about to embark on converting my dining room table to my D&D gaming table. Problem being is that I need to easily convert it back to my dining room table when not being used as a gaming table. Here is my ideas:
1: Plexiglass overlay. I plan on using a plexiglass overlay over a battlemat so that it will be easily drawn on and used with our miniatures and easily cleaned. I am thinking of using c-clamps to clamp it to the table so that it doesnt shift around. This will also keep my battlem… Continue

I know Chris (Pirillo) is a power Mac user. I just watched his video on the software that he uses for live.pirillo.com to stream his life over @ Ustream. He stated that he used a software called CamTwist on his mac and that there was no software to compare on the PC to it. I beg to differ. I use a software (FREE) call ManyCam from manycam.com . THis software is awesome. It has all kinds of effects, text options, drawing over the stream, and will allow you to put your dekstop on the stream. It ma… Continue
Well, I have upgraded my cell phone from a LG Rumour to the Samsung Instinct. I loved my rumour, but when I saw the Instinct in person, I just *HAD* to have it. Everyone is always talking iPhone this and iPhone that. I have to say, I think the Samsung Instinct is right up there. At first, I was afraid that texting with the on screen QWERTY keys would slow my texting down. Only the first couple times, then I was back to texting like crazy. And a cool feature is the spell check on this thing. It d… Continue
