HISTORY: The original Apple Macintosh 128K "luggable" computer from 1984

Apple, Mac, Steve Jobs, HISTORY: The original Apple Macintosh 128K "luggable" computer from 1984. Steve Jobs called the original Macintosh "insanely great", words that scrolled across the first Mac's nine-inch monochrome screen at its first public showing 25 year… Continue

Don't ya just have one of those days when . . .

Don't ya just have one of those days when on a quiet sunday afternoon, on the computer, browsing my fellow Geeks, when on my homepage(Geeks) I realise that in the browser I'm currently using (Avant Browser), shows that my WebTown music player frame is Green. Ok, thats all very good, I'm sure that was the colour I picked. ;) . So I open up Firefox to my Geeks page and I scrolled down to the "said" player and the frame colour is red. HHmmmm, now I'm usually pretty cluey about how I want my items a… Continue

As my late xmas gift to all you Sci-Fi and War Of The Worlds fan's . . .

As my late xmas gift to all you Sci-Fi and War Of The Worlds fan's, I thought I would post the Audio from the 1938 Radio Broadcast of War Of The Worlds as narrated by the late and great Orson Welles. On the evening of October 30th 1938, Orson Welles and the players of his Mercury Theatre were preparing to broadcast the latest in their series of weekly literary adaptations. The Halloween production of H.G.Wells' The War Of The Worlds should have been no different to any that had gone before,Continue

This is my computer in the Lounge room. . .

Here is a look at my PC to make use of Windows Vista Home Premium with Media Centre. I started off by gutting my other PC case and re-installed the components back into my older case. I had ripped out my floppy drive to house the remote receiver in. Replaced the on/off button with an illuminated (blue) button. I had earlier taken the PC facia off and spray painted it black so it wouldn't distract from the screen

A Short SciFi Story I wrote a couple of years ago. . .

Here is a short story (Sci-Fi based) that I sat down and wrote a couple of years ago and had since posted on my Y360 Blog. Hope you enjoy it . . . In the days of old, there was never a fuel station around when you needed one. You would nurse your transport for mile after mile along the desolate landscape. Worst of all, travelling at night-time, there was always the thought in the back of your mind that if and when you finally did find somewhere to top up, chances were that they w… Continue

Give Your Desktop A Panaramic View . . .

I'm forever looking for different ways to customize my (XP) desktop (for free of course). I've tried all types ranging from WindowBlinds, to the skin that makes your XP look like Vista etc etc etc. But they all tend to use various amounts of resources that needn't be used. I recently came across a little FREE program that turns your "square " (or rectangle if you have widescreen) monitor into a 360 degree panoramic desktop, so you can view several open programs with the drag of your mouse.… Continue
