Hello everyone, this posts is my first one in ages so bare with me as I try and get my skill back.
Okay, the start of the story goes something like this. I got a virus I had to format my beloved hard disk and I could not be bothered to install windows again and put up with its crap all over again, even though windows 7 is a dream. But anyway, I installed Ubuntu's latest and greatest instalment, version 9.10 and I have to say well done, like seriously. I love it.... So far. To install programs a…

Windows seven in my opinion is the best Windows OS I have ever used. So I thought I should share with you seven reasons why I love it and here they are:
1.
Its stable, I am currently using the release candidate on all of my computer and I love it. I have had few crashes and when I did it was a hardware fault not the operating systems.
2.The minimum specifications are far less,
it does more that vista did with less, I am currently running it on a net book and well. Now that is some…

Forty five percent of all humans use the internet. The internet is used for many things these days, you can do your banking, communicate with friends overseas and download data in its masses. But unfortunately nothing is pure, nothing is safe and nothing can be trusted. The internet is full of virus, hackers and phishers. Today I will be focussing on phishers. Many people are unaware of Phishers.
Phishers 'troll' the internet and certain websites for personal information. They mostly go for thi…

I spend a lot of my time a day thinking about blogging and the internet, sometimes I spend too much time. One thing I always notice is people that try to get big in the blogging world forget one thing, you must be able to write well. If you watch Chris Pirillo's video "how to blog"on youtube he mentions this a sickening amount of times (jokes, he makes it clear). But there are some questions that raise up in my mind when considering writing well, if you are blogging by yourself how the hell do y…

On my wonderful weekend I was fortunate enough to experience my friends true opinions of myself blogging. It is apparently a “waste of time.” This came about as my friends tried to pressuring me into continuing my former gaming addiction. Which was kind of interesting.
I can see where they are coming from (in their eyes). I just sit on my computer researching and reading various tweets and articles, how boring (again, in their eyes). But you see they don't see gaming the way I do. I see gaming…

After my College trip last week it got me thinking and cleared a few things up for me about college. I definitely want to go study, just not engineering. I found that I excelled at the practical side of Engineering just not the theory side. Partially because I don't not study advance maths and physics. So what do I want to now?
I am slowly flicking my way through many, many university pamphlets on different courses and universities looking at what they offer me and what I will come out with at…

College is a big step for a person, yeah? I seem to think so. For the next week and a half I will be participated in activities that will help me gain the position that I want for college next year. I would like to study engineering at my closet university.
Tomorrow morning I will have to wake up nice and early and travel to Townsville and register for the Engineering Link Program. The course covers three majors in Engineering over the three days. Each day we are given a problem that we must so…

I seem to be having a bit of trouble in this area. For example, I saw my BSOD post on Chris' blog with a different title. So this got me thinking I can't make title's at all. So I thought I better ask my fellow bloggers and Geeks. What tactics do you employ when choosing a title?
I have no idea no idea how to make them good or bad and most importantly interesting and drawing.

After all the trouble I went through with my PC, I am still getting issue's. You know just the occasional Blue Screen Of Death, no biggy. You seen after you have a had and seen as many as I have you learn to love them and embrace them. NOT.
They would have to be the biggest sign to tell you "You are screwed!" I know what the problem is in mine. Its my Hard drive. I will have to consult my parents for a new one, unless any of you want a computer built and live in Australia. I didn't think so, if…

After reading
this news article over at PC Authority I found out that in the US, Best Buy is asking for all job applicants to have at least 250 followers. This then sparked the idea that is this the start of a new generation of qualifications?
A generation were people are hired for how many followers they have instead of the usual criteria of experi…

Back at the start of the year when I joined there were a maximum of 40 members online at peak. Sometimes 50. But now even when we aren't peaking we still have around 45 members online! This is great news for bloggers and just all of us.
We are now able to share more knowledge with more people and communicate more often. People will see an increase in comments everywhere. Even on the most shortest post.
I think geeks is a great place for us all, it would have to be one of the best social networ…

I have a friend that plays and is addicted to World Of Warcraft and to see him play it is quite funny. The look on his face is like he is in another world and he also smells of WOW addict. So I thought how does this addiction come about?
Well after some quick research (google) I come up with this:
-
It is a MMO (Massive Multi-player Online), this type of game itself is very addicting. Why? I think it is the human connections made. Just think how boring it would be with computer players.…

Get away from the computer... Some great man suggested to me and guess what? It works! I have spent the day away from the computer and doing some retail therapy... I bought Red boxing gloves! But yeah it does work you just have to motivate yourself.
Easier said then done, the first couple of hours were painful, I must say. I wanted to blog so bad but what got me to forget about it was the simple fact that, I had nothing to write about and I don't want to produce stale posts.
So yeah just a qui…

I was reading
this article and I discovered that Apple will be releasing prepaid Iphones... About time I say! But it got me thinking how long will it take for Australia to get them if at all? This usually happens a lot here in Australia, a first world country with average internet speed's. Gosh we are even getting beaten by Korea.
But back to the title, Australia seems to behind with a lot of things causing pe…

I have been really busy these past few days. So often I can't find time to write a good decent blog post but, when I do find time I can't write. So I usually give up and “come back to it later.” But now that I approaching the stage of becoming a young adult and leaving home, I am trying to express my true self more often and pure. Things that I haven't done in the past and I am not proud of.
So how hard can it be to manage my time to post one or two decent posts a day? For me, very hard but, I…

Okay as some of you may know I tried to make a video of me rebuilding my computer and how it failed... badly. My camera is still taking great video's its just it can't stop zooming in or out. So I am in the market for a cheap, good quality webcam. If there is such a thing.
At the moment I am looking at the Logitech S-5500 or a Microsoft Life Cam VX-6000. They both have similar specifications but I am pondering which one at the end of the day is better for the user? A question that has yet to be…

I recorded all the video needed but I have some bad news, the lens on the camera is broken. It like to make a lot of noise which really wrecks the video. So that idea is screwed.
Okay before I started to assemble my computer I noticed that there could be some improvements that could be made. I am going to be cutting out cable management holes so I can hide and tuck most of the wires and I also will be painting the inside. I haven't figured out what color yet though.
Well that's an update on my…
