I feel like I haven't really been around as much as normal because I have been SUPER BUSY with school this year. There are so many new things we have to teach. Things have been crazy and just non-stop. I'm usually working between 9 and 12 hours every day. I'm taking my last grad course, too and life is just CRAZY. Here is a brief update:

Here in SC it is tax free shopping weekend! :) This usually happens around the same time every year...right before school starts again. I can't believe school starts next week...ahhh!
The good news is...I got a new iMac...tax free! This is sort of like an early graduation present for getting my Masters degree, which I will have in December. As you all know, I took 3 classes during Summer I. My grades were finally posted and I just had to share because I am pretty proud of myself! :) Right now I'm taking 2 courses during Summer II. Let's hope for the same outcome! :)
So I was at Walmart today (not by choice) and I overheard an employee say, "I work here like it's my job." haha Well, DUH! :) It just made me laugh and then think about how thankful I am that I truly do LOVE my job no matter how stressful it might be :) Continue

So I wasn't sure if I was going to start a forum post about this or what but if you are a Macbook user...I would greatly appreciate your input.
I've had my Macbook for almost 2 years now. It's great. I've never had any serious issues with it at all...only a crack or 2 in the case which the Apple store has replaced since I'm covered under Apple Care. I take very good care of it as it is my Macbaby :) hehe

So this kind of thing really never happens in real life...unless apparently you live here in Myrtle Beach. This really is something like from a movie...like no one would ever expect this to be here. Yesterday a brush fire started and it has now burnt down over 20,000 acres of forest area, about 70 homes and it still going. The wind is a major factor as to why it hasn't been completely put out yet. The housing development where I live is in a voluntary evacuation.

This is what I am certified in as an undergrad....and yes I realize it might not make much sense to be doing the same thing BUT the University is very limited in what they offer right now for Graduate students in the Education program.
