Sm3 Beauty.

I wrote this today in just under five minutes in writers club. Looking for some critique maybe ^^? "There is beauty in all things, if only you would look to see it. If you stopped looking towards the light, you would recognize that the darkness is truly beautiful. The brilliant allure of blood and black, you would never view things the same way again. But that would never happen, not for you. Your a horse with blinders, surrounded, a knight, grasping for a dying ideal. Holy symbol, and white c… Continue

Anyways, I am still wishing to receive help for my search bar which phailzorz. It is a search bar that takes input and puts it to a js value so it can redirect someone to predefined sites according to the keywords that they inputed. (Instead of redirecting, its r… Continue

"5 Ways to be Successful at Work" If you heed these five hints, you'll not only contribute to your job security; you'll also win your boss's admiration and appreciation -- as well as a little loyalty. 1. Be humble. In other words, be mindful of the fact that it's not all about you. Says Levit, "Don't approach your boss with a sense of entitlement, as though he is personally responsible for furthering your career. Instead, focus on learning what you can do to make his life easier,… Continue

Andy Where does the time go?

I just realised that it has been over a month since I last logged on to geeks to see what has been happening. Wow!! Where does the time go? A lot has happened in that time. I have completed a successful trial at work using a depot control system called "Yard smart" by C3 systems. maybe some of you who work in logistics may have heard of it? I am now back on my native job of truck driving, but hopefully I have alerted my bosses to the fac… Continue

Shtanto Have you ever lost a USB key?

If you're at work or in college (as I am) you may have lost a USB key at some stage. Or have you? The windows registry is like an oven that never gets washed, unless you use a registry cleaner of course. I never saw any reason to tamper with it. It aint broke. My registry contains a unique serial ID of my USB key from when I last used it with my computer. All USB devices have this. Just run a search for usbstor and you'll eventually hit paydirt under currentcontrolset001, devices. My own USB k… Continue

Starry Is unvoluntarily ill..

I guess no one likes or wants to be ill, but sometimes I think it is nice spending some time home, relaxing and maybe have people around who can take care of you. In my case I was really annoyed when I got symptoms of a cold, I thought it was just something that would last for a couple of days, in the end it was unbearable I had to go to the toilet every 15 min. from work cause my nose kept running and in the same time I felt quite ill. I was so stubborn because I did not want to make a stupid c… Continue

BSL My Fave Bill Gates Quote.

Bill gates the owner of Microsoft said; "Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one." You see that's why we joined Geeks we're one of him geeks, nerds, smart stuff... I'm one of the biggest jerks in the world, I was a snobbish jock. I told to myself that I don't want to be a geek. But the risk of it I may not be successful I may just be in the streets begging a nerd to hire me. I started to become a nerd in the age of 7, or may be earlier than that I started gaming in computers… Continue

Jonathan Gorard Windows XP vs Windows Vista

The other day, on one of my Windows Vista computers, I had to temporarily switch back to XP after an update, and was surprised at how fast it was. I'd always remembered XP being slow and clunky, and Vista being fast and awesome, but actually, now I'm not so sure. Is Vista really worth all those cool graphics, or for cold, honest to God work, is XP simply better. I leave it to you guys... Continue

Stephen Unemployment Worse with Stimulus than Without

Matt Cover CNSNews July 6, 2009 Unemployment hit 9.5 percent in June, according to the Department of Labor, putting the figure 2.5 percent higher than the White House had predicted it would be if a government stimulus spending program went into place. Moreover, the new figure is nearly one percent higher than where the White House said it would be without any stimulus spending at all. In fact, the White House never predicted that unemployment would rise above nine percent regardless of whether… Continue

TruXter We test Windows Seven at work

Sorry for the way it looks on the page as I wrote it. I wrote it more like personal notes. But all day for four days so far, we have been pressure cooking Windows 7. Putting the operating system under all the tests we can come up with. See I myself do not see windows vista as being all that bad (don't hang me for that) and I actually think that Geeks can be trend chasers just like the rest of the world. If all the cool geeks (????lol????) like a processor, everyone will like it, and repeat the c… Continue

SassySweetBren If One Is Interested In Reading Just Anything

My life is a joy. I can do a lot of things that some women never dream of doing and it pleases me. However, the point of all of this is really just silly. Me telling all of y'all what I have been doing for two days. Does anyone really care? It would truly amaze me if they did. Yesterday, I borrowed a neighbors truck to go pick up my lawnmower from where else....the lawnmower place. :) I asked the lady who took the mower in to call me with the details of what needed to be done and a quote of th… Continue

Brandon Barth What Ways Do You Make Money Online & How?

Honestly, I'm really interested in earning money online. The only real ways I have found is that I posted some stuff on Squidoo and people bought off of my Amazon links, I got around $12.00 from them, I've also been taking surveys here and there from survey spot and I've recieved about $100 in checks. I signed up for NEOBUX, which is cool because it says you have to view ads, but all you do is let them time out and you're good, I've made like .30 cents the past 2 days from them. But I really wan… Continue

Anthony Being Sick Is Boring

I’ve been really sick lately, and have now realized how boring it is without school. I have been out since Monday and there hasn’t been much for me to do, except for chores and watch television and things like that. Since I am starting to get better, I will be going back to school tomorrow, sick or not, (Being three days behind at my school can really do a number to one’s grades) and try to get all of my missing work to hopefully get done before the next day, which will be Friday. When plan “Ge… Continue

John C People in college not doing thier work! Playing with gutiars instead.

I*t seems that most(if not all) the people in my class would rather play with Gutiars then do thier work. I bet sometime they will ask me for help, I'm sorry. I'm a nice guy and all that but at the end of the day why should I fail because I'm helping others when they choose to play with guitars. *sigh*. Seriously I don't want any of them to fail but they are kinda asking for it. Oh well never mind hey. Continue

dave Oil Changes: Where Should I Get Them Done?

Can I Save Money By Changing My Oil At A Quick Lube or Should I Take It To The Dealership? For years people have been asking me the following question: What kind of shop should I use for automotive repairs or general service while my car is under warranty, a dealership or an independent shop? It's perfectly fine to take your car to an independent general service provider for basic maintenance on your car. The Magnuson Moss Warranty Act of 1975 ensures that you are covered should the general se… Continue
