Mike Whitehouse Chris Pirillo's Windows 7 ebook 70+ tips review...

Now that nearly every PC/Mac user, if not all has bought Microsoft's new operating system - Windows 7 or at least have a new system with Windows 7 pre-installed. This immediately brought everyone's attention to upgrade from Windows Vista, which wasn't too bright. I have to admit, Windows Vista wasn't so 'annoying' for me, infact I thought it was a pretty decent OS. Although it had some minor things that I wouldn't really complain about it still managed to accomplish everything I thrown at it.… Continue

Nerd Enterprises, Inc. That classic to do list

We all want to be organized - especially geeks and nerds. A little tip on managing that To Do list - keep the list, but go through it at least once/week and take an item from the list and actually add it to your calendar program (Outlook, iGoogle, iCal, etc..). That way you are actually making an appointment to get the thing done instead of just looking at it on your to do list. I use MS One note for my list(s0 and also as an amazing tool for keeping all kinds of information organzed. I have a… Continue

Tedd Do You Know How To Tweet? Really? You Sure? Sometimes I wonder!

I really should be revising my research paper that is due tonight but I got to thinking about this thing called Twitter. My 12 year old niece asked me what exactly is Twitter and i had to stop and think. While limited to 140 characters it is not really a text message I don't think. It's not a blog, not a forum, so what is it really? I finally answered her question by telling her it gives you the ability to send small bits of information to multiple people that are interested in what you do or re… Continue

Johannes S. A few quick tips for a slow internet connection.

1) Use OpenDNS. It's a fast DNS service which will make your loading times, depending on your current ISP's DNS servers' speeds, up to 10 seconds faster. Also, OpenDNS will stop the phising sites (for paypal for example) as it blocks them. 2) Use AdBlock. Actually, this is for any internet connection, but it is also very effective on the slow internet connections. Ads slow a web page down. And AdBlock stops Ads from loading. P.S. AdBlock is also available for Safari - SafariAdBlock. 3) Use a d… Continue

You have to fold those annoying paper boxes so that they can fit your trash which usually fills up right away so you have to take out the trash = meaning alot of work! What will make… Continue

Miguel Zapata 5 reasons to always keep coins in your pocket.

1. If you can't decide on something, take one out and flip it. If you can't decide between McDonald's or KFC, or Apple and Microsoft, just flip a coin. It's better to choose blindly than keep thinking of what to eat for lunch 'til 7 or which OS to side with before the Linux fanboy socks you in the face. 2. It's a handy bottle opener. It's not the best way nor is it the easier way, but say if you're somehow stuck in a field of just grass and you happen to have a beer bottle to open, at least t… Continue

Travicemo Looks vs. Performance

Well when it comes down to it on a computer people usually side with on of the two. I have recently decided to get back on the performance side of things. As do most I run Windows Vista now with Vista one of the big questions is do I run Aero or not? Most modern computers can handle Aero without a problem but it uses up a lot of extra resources on your computer that could be reserved or used for the power of your applications and programs. I personally can run Aero without a noticeable change t… Continue
