Tedd New T-Mobile Plans

(I posted this on Lockergnome this morning and completely forgot about Geeks, better late than never) Ok guys, I have been sitting on this information for weeks because I was forbidden to mention it, but since T-Mobile now has released, officially, the new rate plans I can finally talk about them. If you haven't yet seen the commercials or the website you are in for a treat. T-Mobile has slashed prices for all inclusive plans. Talk, Text and Web are now bundled. Here's the breakdown: Even Mo… Continue

dave The battle of the Hottest smartphones for this summer!!!

The Four Contenders Apple iPhone 3G S. Nokia N97. Palm Pre. T-Mobile myTouch 3G. Of all the smartphones recently launched and soon to be released, these four are the most closely matched -- and the most desired. Which one comes out on top? All four smartphones have large touch display… Continue

Tedd New T-Mobile My Touch

So, I got my hands on a My Touch. It is basically the G2 but is not being marketed as such. It has the same Android OS and same interface but is different in several ways. First and the most noticeable is weight. Because it does not have a physical keyboard (Opting for the on screen keyboard only) it is probably more than 50% lighter than the G1. It is also much sleeker than the G1 and will fit in ones pocket much better. The interface has changed in that it is much more personalized. You can ad… Continue

Mike Copeland MyTouch 3G

I was reading up earlier today about T-Mobile’s next Google phone. They didn’t give any real info on the device other than it’s name, MyTouch 3G. Seriously that’s the name of the phone, I mean how original is that? So anyways it’s scheduled for release in July, and will compete with both the Palm Pre and the iPhone 3G S. The device is reported to be smaller, and can sync with Microsoft Outlook. The device of course runs Google’s Android OS, and supports all sorts of customizable features, such… Continue

Cirian75 EU T-Mobile G1 users not happy with poor update vs US and lack of customer service.

Hello people. As those who follow will know nearly a month ago T-Mobile G1 US users got their RC33 update with things like Google Latitude built into Google maps on their device. Along with voice Google search. The EU G1 users have in the last few days been getting their RC9 update, many assumed it would be an EU version on RC33. Alas non of the really good stuff, there is no Latitude or Voice search. We appear to have got a dummed down minimal update compared to the USA. Why Google and T-… Continue

Tedd G1 vs iPhone

Because I have worked for both ATT and T-Mobile, I think I have a rather unique perspective on the differences between the G1 and the iPhone. I thought I would share my thoughts with you about these two devices. First, let's look at the hardware differences... Hardware Specs G1 vs iPhone: Weight: G1 = 158g vs iPhone = 133g Battery Life: G1 = 5 hours talk time, 130 hours standby vs iPhone = 5 hours talk time, 300 hours standby Screen Size: G1 = 3.2inches vs iPhone = 3.5in Camera: G1… Continue

Cirian75 One Week and day with the T-Mobile G1

I have now had a week and a day with the G1; my overall impressions are good though it is not perfect. This 1st thing is that initially the battery life is very poor, you need to condition the battery by discharging it to 0% flat, and then charged power off, this needs to be repeated 5 times to get the battery up to good. I get a good 20 hours now with medium use. The keyboard is good, easy to type on, some people have concerns over the “Chin” on the right causing typing difficulties, this on… Continue

Cirian75 The Phone Geek.

It’s that time of year Cell Phone shop staff hate me. Almost upgrade time on my phone contract. With T-Mobile UK at the moment with a Blackberry 8800. http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c228/cirian75/blackberry-8800-india-photo.jpg It has been a pretty much fault free phone bar one annoying thing. After a while the track ball gets gunked up a quite. Not a problem as you can pop it out easy and replace with a new one; they cost less that a £5. 2nd replacement one so far so 3 balls this pho… Continue

Keaton My thoughts on google android!

Our fantastic friend google android is out and so far is not impressing me one bit. Don’t get me wrong the software is great but from my perspective doing research on both the hardware and the network that google choose to release this phone I am really disappointed. The G1 is one of T-Mobiles first 3G phones and the reason behind it is because that T-Mobile has an extremely small 3G data network. (Currently only in 13 Markets and by the end of 2008 only in 27 Markets). To put that into perspect… Continue

KrnSidez Touch Screen Phones for The U.S.

Well, it is Q3 of 2008, and we have several touch screen phones across all of the major networks. Verzion has the LG Voyager, LG Dare, and Samsung Glyde. AT&T has the iPhone 3G, and the LG Vu. Sprint has the Samsung Instinct. T-mobile, is getting the HTC G1. Alltel has the glimmer. You, as a consumer, have a lot to choose from. Over the last few weeks, I have looked at many review of all of these phones, by popular phone sites, and by people like me on Youtube. I am now going to give you my… Continue
