Just wanted to let y'all know that our development team at Pixetell just released the latest feature, and webcam lens application that lets you move around the screen inside various frames while you screen record. It is too much fun!One of the frames is an RV that puts you behind the wheel as you drive around your screen. Here's a link to our blog post about it.… Continue

If you have not heard a windows vista machine is able to run a screen saver as the desktop background. Well up until now that has been one small thing that the PC enthusiasts were able to get me on. But now I have screen saver. Screen Saver is a nifty little dashboard widget that will allow you to run an OS X screen saver as your desktop background. Watch the video embedded below to find out who to get and use this neat little pice of freeware.
[NOTE: In order to get this in Full 1080p HD so you… Continue

What is Lockerz ?
Lockerz was launched in its beta stages in August and is being probably the best source electronics for all you geeks out there. I have signed up to all these "Free xbox, PS3 etc website", yes most of them do work BUT! what is unique about Lockerz is that when you join you get to play a short game that allows you to catch points (I caught 45 - that means i am 50 points away from a PS3 or Xbox game)
Lockerz is… Continue
It's about to be 1am (PST) pretty soon and I'm still wondering right now. I'm wondering if I should put all my dough on a Zune HD which actually came out today until the stores open. It's a newer model of the Zune family which is now touch-screen capable and also plays HD videos within the player.
The one thing that bothers me a lot is gapless playback. I've noticed when I was playing music through the Zune software, it would always pause between songs causing it to make a gap. I'm very stingy… Continue
I've been battling this one for a while now. The most recent skirmish involved me getting the TV speaker up and running.
Sure enough, I got it working using some AV cable, but the sound quality is sorely lacking. I'll stick to my T7700s from now on. I had thought getting the TV speaker working would allow me to set up an 8.1 system, but it sort of ruined the 7.1 field I already have, so I went and finally got around to calibrating those instead. T7700s seem to have to upmix from 5.1 or 6.1 sour… Continue

If your thinking of increasing your gamming on your Nintendo DS you might want to try a flash card. There are many kinds out there but one that works fine for me is the R4, which is sold all over the web. Be warned, some internet shops sell faulty flash cards so if it seems to good to be true it probably is. They tend to sell from 12 to 20 dollars. I am refferin to the standard R4 that supports up to 2 gig of memory. If your interested in more space you may want to consider spending a little mor… Continue

After all the trouble I went through with my PC, I am still getting issue's. You know just the occasional Blue Screen Of Death, no biggy. You seen after you have a had and seen as many as I have you learn to love them and embrace them. NOT.
They would have to be the biggest sign to tell you "You are screwed!" I know what the problem is in mine. Its my Hard drive. I will have to consult my parents for a new one, unless any of you want a computer built and live in Australia. I didn't think so, if… Continue
First of all excuse my english that is not my native language.
Recently I upgraded my good old Dell Latitude PIII-500Mhz to a more recent Precision M2400.
The machine feels very robust, you can get it with one hand and you are not don't feel it will break/split/curve its case.
But this machine has some bad points (last one is about the screen):
- Integrated Smartcard reader from Broadcom can't read some smartcards, old Dell D series had O2 readers that are much more compatible. It seems that… Continue

Protect your PC with a hard-drive password
A user-account password is important for security, but it's useless if your PC is lost or stolen; a thief could just install your hard drive in another PC instead of trying to boot it up under your name. To block access, add a password to the hard disk.
This process is simpler than encrypting the hard disk, but it can't match encryption's level of security. (Encryption scrambles data so that even if a thief gains access, he probably can't make sense o… Continue
Yesterday, 5/24/09, was possibly my best day of 2009 yet. As it's may, the school year is winding down, with about a few weeks left until school is over. My older sister is graduating high school, and going to Shippensburg University with an undeclared major. If you are a follower of mine on twitter (@matthewmedina25) you more than likely read that I was going to Target to get my brother an SD card for his camera. We got that, and after waiting an hour for some photo's to develop, my mom asked m… Continue
Nentendo has unvailed the new portible gaming experiance with a camara, voice editing, and a web browser what could go wrong? Nentendo in my opinion has been losing in the portible gaming war with Sony's psp because of two reasons. Number one multimedia and features. when I got my psp 2 years ago I was amazed at the posabilitys with it right out of the box and with the interface sleek and okay a user interface that had my 70 year old grama wanting to play. mp3's, video, web browsing ect. this th… Continue

Screen savers are used to prevent your screen from Phospor burn-in. Nowadays, screen savers are used for extra entertainment and eye-candy.
With increasing number of screen savers being coded and produced, it’s time consuming for you to choose the best that fits your need. Hopefully, I’ve filtered down to ten Mac screen savers that will make you droll (and they’re all free), and if you want more just email me and send you more.
Enjoy!

I was on Youtube and saw a video that Chris had made which involved VNC. I headed straight to the website and downloaded the free version, after a few mins installing and configuring it was all done. I've never seen an easier way to connect computers on a network. I can now view my Ustream broadcast console running on my netbook on my desktop which is awsome. It is also useful for helping other users around the house, they can IM or email me with their issue and, from the comfort of my own room,… Continue
In this modern day and age with technology advancing, you would of thought nearly everything is digital by now. Guess what? WRONG! We are in a crisis at the moment with "Global Warming" and pollution destroying our planet! How can we stop it? Simple, don't release toxic fumes into the atmosphere. All is good :) However, although the Government say this, people really aren't bothering to do anything about it.
This brings me to my main point. Why print screen in ICT coursework? I am currently doi… Continue

Well I usually do learn something new everyday especially from the web. But this one caught me a bit off guard. When it comes to Windows Vista I thought I new it inside and out, I thought I knew everything about it. But I was wrong and I am glad. I was just doing my daily rounds on tech sites that I enjoy reading on and I saw this article about screen capture software, now usually when I need to take a screen cap I just print screen, paste into paint, and save. So I decided to take a look at thi… Continue

Disaster has struck... The screen on my Dell Inspiron 6000 has stopped working. I noticed a couple of weeks ago that the screen was starting to flicker a little when I was turning on the laptop if the screen had been closed. Yesterday when I got up I noticed the laptop was off and I was sure that I had left it on, but it turns out it was the screen that was off. The screen is actually still on but it is very very dim. There appears to be nothing wrong with the laptop itself as I am using it righ… Continue
