Audio recorder?

Well, I've looked over the net for several types of audio recorders that record the audio going to your speakers and all I've been able to come across are several discussions about how they can be used to break copyrights and then 35 dollar cables that do the stuff... Linux I love you, I just can't be with you.

I have tries Ubuntu and Xubuntu linux and I think that they are some of the best operating systems I have tried. I was going to try to put xubuntu onto an old laptop my dad gave me but it was just below some of the system requirements. So I got myself a whole bunch of Mp4 video’s and now I want to convert them to mp3. Not that I don't like mp4, but having +50 video's on my psp with only a background and music takes up allot of space, not to start about the long data transfers. Programming Competition

Yep I am going to a programming competition at the end of March. I was surprised my school asked me to go they caught me off guard and I just said yes.
