I'm sorry, but I really have the need to continue my last post here...
The following story may be a bit depressing, so if you are easily influenced, try not to care.
I mean, people are just such f*cking idiots. For crying out loud.
Let me describe you a person... no particular person, but just a general type.
He lives in a really bad neighbourhood. In a rubbish flat with 1 room, a bathroom and a tiny kitchen. A flat which was last renovated in 1979... He has a wife/girlfriend and a sma…

I woke up at 9 o'clock this morning.
Not because I wanted to, not because I needed to, but because someone called me.
It's Saturday morning. If you knew me, you'd know I have really hard and long days during the work week, and prefer to sleep on Saturdays till, at least, two o'clock in the afternoon.
But no, it wasn't because they had something urgent to tell me. Nothing is that urgent that it would wake me up 5 hours before I need to.
It was the usual broken PC thing. They had disconnected…

It amazes me in this day and age how people view/percieve others and their ability to be responsble or accountable, or their level of. Being married is an incredible responsibility in of itself. Keeping one going through all of the problems that will arrise in todays world is even more difficult and requires dicipline and flexibility at all times. Throw a child or two into it, and I guess it all doubles, triples??
That part I would not know, for I do not have a child, and at this time in my lif…

I will come back to youtube! I hope that some of you are happy about this and I hope that you are glad. I would like to mention though what I am going to do with it. I am going to only be posting video blogs there and I want to clarify that. I will be able to do that instant upload thing because I think think is great for video blogs. I will keep my real content here. I have not been able to make that account and i don't have the time to film a vid to let you know. But this is proof that I will…

I know that somewhere in this story I am likely guilty of the same thing at some point and in some way, but yesterday I had an instance in a grocery store that utterly blew my mind. I had 2 items to check out in the 15 or less line, and 2 people in front to of me. Both were on their cell phones, laughing and joking away with their phone mate on the other side.
What was nausiating about this is that they too had a few items, but since they could not even pay enough respect or attention to the cas…

I have got alot of interested people who wants to rent out my appartement for 4 months.
The first person sent me an sms saying that he was very interested, I suggested that he could come look at it sunday evening but unfortunately he said he would be away for the weekend and he then asked if it was ok for him to come tuesday evening, which was fine with me. He also said that he would like to pay for all 4 months at once, even better.
I then got a phone call from a Swedish guy who wanted to hear…

One thing that most people can't stand is when other people are indecisive. These people will hem and haw while everyone else is grabbing and going. In the end, they are stuck with whatever is left for them to grab, which turns out to be nothing that they want, so they are forced to make a harder choice, which they also never get around to making. Let me give you an example and, in turn, show you the perfect way to solve this problem.
A couple are walking through a grocery store. The wife is lo…

What's with all of these people that say they
made something or they
did something, when you know for a fact that they didn't do anything of the sort? "I made breakfast this morning!" No you didn't. You bought breakfast from the store, popped it in the oven/bowl and served it to people disguised as something you made. "I washed the laundry!" Did you scrub each shirt by hand with a wash board and tub? Then no, you didn't wash the laundry. You picked up the laundry, stuffed it into t…

Ever notice how traffic flows online? Most new sites will be ignored, but on occasion, you'll see this rookie, sitting there with nothing, that happens to get all of the traffic because the site has a fat blob that bounces. Most sites that seem to have something great on it, that may even benefit humanity, are left to rot because no one goes there. More people would rather visit BouncingBlob.com than CureForCold.edu in their spare time.
It's rather unnerving, really. That means if someone wante…

For several years now I have, as have so many people been more and more pulled in and fascinated by social networks and their blogs. I read and rss many, and of course keep up with some here on Geeks too. I am however really taken in by this one guy whom seems to be killing himself to live. Does the same things again and again, he financially to cripples himself and then talks about how he will fix this, pulls himself back out again, only to repeat the process a few weeks to a month later.
The a…

My friend that works at the local geek squad inside of the best buy and i recently talked to him and he was telling me a story about somebody who came in and his computer had stopped working and so he pulls him computer on the desk and the geek squad asked the guy what has been happening to the computer and the guy answered that it got dusty inside so this guy took all of the part and componets out of his tower and washed them with hot soapy water. Well Thursday is the start of a brand new year, and that means out with the old in with the new. This past year things may have been hectic and I understand that things could be worse in 2009 but having a negative outlook on things is not the right attitude to have. I’ve always tried to be a positive person, and I am hopeful that there will be some wonderful things to happen in 2009.
I will be celebrating the new year with family and friends, but my prayers will be with those who can’t be with…

I have been a member here for a bit and I keep reading how it is growing. When I look up to see who is online, I only see maybe 40 members. Am I missing something?
Coming here for me was an adventure. Sure, I have learned a few things and passed a few things along but hey, where is the action?
Is there a backroom? Are people in there playing computers and haven't invited me?

It is strange. I feel like I have heard the term "the development is going almost too fast" my entire life.
What happened was that people didn't manage to keep up to date with the changes that took place. There were more buttons to push, more potential hidden in the equipment, more information available, more options. From being passive receipients of information, people were simply forced to make conscious choices of what the wanted to look for.
It was probably most noticeable when the term "…

Why can't people call in to a company and calmly explain their problem? I installed a phone system for a local company and I put all the cables in wall tracks so that they would be hidden (couldn't put them in the wall cause the walls are solid) and the wall track isn't perfectly straight. They called me today screaming down my throat saying that it looks horrible and that they expected better from me and so on. This building has holes as big as my foot in the walls and nasty carpet. The owner p…
