Josh Gines MS 2010 Beta help

I just installed MS office 2010 beta, and i'm liking what I'm seeing with one tiny exception. I'm running windows 7, 32 bit, (yea, i know LOL) I normally sync my iphone with outlook for contacts, calendars, etc. but having trouble syncing with outlook 2010. I've looked for hours and only found out that it will not sync with 64 bit, so why am I having issues? I also still have 2007 installed, does anyone know if this conflict would be preventing the 2010 sync, even though I did assign it as defau… Continue

There was a news item today about temperatures rising by 4C by 2060 There will be heat waves and droughts all over the world This warning was issued by the "MET OFFICE" in the UK The Same "MET OFFICE" that offered a BBQ Summer back in April Their forecasting isn't even worth a 7 day chart let alone 50 years I might be able to believe them if tomorrows forcast for heavy rain were likely What happened to all those HOT 35C Summers back in the 80's & 90's when we had water shortages hosepi… Continue

"A Texas judge ruled Tuesday that Microsoft cannot sell Word in the united states. Why? Toronto-based i4i Inc won an injunction against Microsoft regarding the company’s XML patents. Selling, offering to sell, and/or importing in or into the United States any Infringing and Future Word Products that have the capability of opening a .XML, .DOCX, or .DOCM file is an infringment of the patent claimed by i4i alongside the general marketing and use of the product by Microsoft. faiz2uonclub Microsoft unveils Office 2010 and takes productivity software online

Microsoft has announced that some of its Office applications will be delivered over the internet in the next version of its productivity suite, Office 2010, codenamed Office 14. Office Web applications, as Microsoft has tagged the online version, will include Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint and Word "with reduced functionality to that experienced by users who have Office installed on their PCs," according to Chris Adams, Microsoft's Office client product manager. I know this will come slowly but I am aiming high. The plan now is to write reviews on open source software, freeware and discuss general idea’s and tech. I am hoping to move onto hardware reviews in the future. But time will tell. Take everyone, James Hill Latest review:Continue

TruXter We test Windows Seven at work

Sorry for the way it looks on the page as I wrote it. I wrote it more like personal notes. But all day for four days so far, we have been pressure cooking Windows 7. Putting the operating system under all the tests we can come up with. See I myself do not see windows vista as being all that bad (don't hang me for that) and I actually think that Geeks can be trend chasers just like the rest of the world. If all the cool geeks (????lol????) like a processor, everyone will like it, and repeat the c… Continue

Joel Piracy, YOU can do something about it!

While browsing around the internet you probably have seen pirated software. I have seen way too much of it to not do anything about it. I feel like I’m not making a big difference in it, you probably will feel the same way. If everybody felt that way, Microsoft would need to spend lots of money hiring a team to go find it that probably wouldn’t find it all. With many people, who don’t feel significant, reporting there will be a lot taken down. You might wonder, “Why should I help?” If people can… Continue

Ron Knights Building the Home Office (HDMI Confusion)

I was up way too late last night. I had rebuilt my computer desk, and was really aware of how much room I needed. I had to rearrange the living room, mostly... Then I went to bed. The living room/Home Office is still a Work in Progress. I'm still bumping into some things. The furniture arrangement is almost identical to the one I first envisioned. I'm making the maximum use of the wall arrangement and floor space. One shelving unit is an extension of the kitchen. It houses my toaster oven, m… Continue

Travicemo Bought my new office chair today

Well I have been wanting to get a new chair here lately, and thanks to the steelers I was able to go out and finally pick up one today. It was a very annoying trip to OfficeMax because I am sick as hell and it took me like 2 hours to make up my mind between three chairs lol. But I finally made up my mind on which chair I wanted to get. Once I got it home it only took me a few minutes to assemble the "cushionator" that is the name I gave my new chair because it is so comfortable and has cushionin… Continue

Vicarious Dei TOP FIVE LIST: YOU, THE PC, AND YOUR OFFICE

I've purposely titled this article beginning with 'You', and why? Well, I feel that the choice of computer, its parts and your workspace is very individual. Everyone has different needs, wants and limitations. We know that everything in our lives should be built around our own personality, needs and limitations: we can't all afford dual 30 inch monstrosities in our workstations. So what is important for us PC enthusiasts? I have my own top five list, in order, that every PC user needs to fork… Continue
