Eric Heavilin A Huge Social Media Network Blog You Want To Be Involved In

I would write about the post I did over on my blog at http://blog.bluepop13.com but that's not possible this time. It's not possible because I wrote about lockergnome (not exactly about chris, just the site and what it offers the world). Okay, so check it out at my blog if you want to see what I had to say. I mean I am just Kim Randall, I'm not a Gary Vaynerchuk or a Chris Brogan. The thing is that I may not be a household name, may have never been on national te… Continue

Identity Theft Expert Robert Siciliano 10 Ways to Prevent Social Media Scams

Robert Siciliano Identity Theft Expert

For the past year, I’ve been screaming about the trouble with social media as it relates to identity theft, brand hijacking, privacy issues, and the opportunity social media creates for criminals to “friend” their potential victims in order to create a false sense of trust and use that against their victims in phishing or other scams. I predicted long ago that the problem will get a lot worse before

Identity Theft Expert Robert Siciliano

Imagine if someone used your name and image, or the name and logo of a business you own, to create a profile on Facebook, Twitter, or any other social networking website. Mike Copeland Which DVR Do You Use to Record TV Shows?

What do you use to record your favorite TV shows? TiVo, Comcast DVR, Windows Media Center? This is a cool time to be in, I remember when I was a kid and had to record my favorite shows to VHS and would have to hope there was a enough tape. However these tapes would degrade over time, and when DVD’s came out there still was no real way to record and digitize unless you wanted to spend a lot of money. Now we have things like TiVo, Windows Media Center, Comcast DVR, and etc. I… Continue

jkls Need To Back Up Your iTunes Media?

How do you back up your iTunes media? By external drive? Online services? Well I have been backing up via my 120gb Maxtor external hard drive. It's worked out well, but not as well as I would like it to. Today DannyMinick suggested to me why not use Home Sharing? Brilliant. For those that are not familiar with iTunes Home Sharing, it's a feature in iTunes 9 which allows you to copy any media from the original iTunes library. All you have to do is… Continue

Robert Siciliano Identity Theft Expert

Ever click on a link in an email or while browsing online, and something just wasn’t right? The domain name in the address bar was off by a letter or two? Or a word was misspelled?
