Domains are web url’s, they point to servers which then displays the webpage. Google.com is a domain name. There are many companies you can register domains through, my opinion is stick to the more known and trusted businesses :
NameCheap.com
GoDaddy.com
Name.com
There is a reason for this besides the obvious security, trust, easy, most features etc. The reason is because when you purchase a domain name you have to wait up to 60 days before you can move it to another domain company. Don’t ge…

I recently sent out some invites then realized on the next batch of invites, I'll have nobody to send one to.
That's why I made a private To-Be-Invited Wave invite list for myself. If you want to be on it so I can invite you to Google Wave when I get more invites, leave me your email in a private message or PM me on GeekShed IRC. (You don't have to ask if you can PM me on there, just do it.)

We all want to be organized - especially geeks and nerds. A little tip on managing that To Do list - keep the list, but go through it at least once/week and take an item from the list and actually add it to your calendar program (Outlook, iGoogle, iCal, etc..). That way you are actually making an appointment to get the thing done instead of just looking at it on your to do list.
I use MS One note for my list(s0 and also as an amazing tool for keeping all kinds of information organzed. I have a…

Here's a list of things to do if you're bored on the web or really bored and feel you've seen everything. But first, here's the one thing you need to remember:
If you feel you've done everything on the web or on your day think again. Remember, ever hour, every minute, every second, theres millions or even billions of new content going through the web.
Ok, heres the list:
1. Try and chat with your friend maybe something would come up and give you an idea of what you're going to do next.…

This is nothing more than a gamer’s list of collected games. This is just a way for me to keep track of them and compare them to others and to be viewed by anyone that has a general interest in gaming. Plus I compiled the list just for the fun of it. Even going through this as thorough as I can, I am still finding a few that missed the list, such as Descent: Freespace - Silent Threat.
Gaming has come a long way in some ways and significantly regressed in other ways. And SecuROM (and everything…

This list is not a complete list of processors, but as thorough as I could get it for now (the top 620 processors). This list is as accurate at I can get it for now, and it is updated when I either get additional processors / benchmarks, changes or when others assist with additional information.
This list is only meant to be a general comparative chart to view and compare individual processors to each other, so when I get the frequent questions asked to me - Which one is the fastest processor?…

1. If you can't decide on something, take one out and flip it.
If you can't decide between McDonald's or KFC, or Apple and Microsoft, just flip a coin. It's better to choose blindly than keep thinking of what to eat for lunch 'til 7 or which OS to side with before the Linux fanboy socks you in the face.
2. It's a handy bottle opener.
It's not the best way nor is it the easier way, but say if you're somehow stuck in a field of just grass and you happen to have a beer bottle to open, at least t…

Yes... it's not quite the 'ZOMG XBL Friends increase confirmed!' announcement that we hoped for but Xbox director Aaron Greenberg came as close as we've heard to revealing that it's in the works.
At CES, Greenberg said 'I can't commit to when that will happen, but that is something we want to do. It's definitely something we're looking at expanding and, as this social network grows, we've absolutely heard the pleas for that. It's on the list.'
Greenberg explained that original Xbox games were…

Ok all,.
I work in a company that does tons of work here in Houston TeXas. I am right now the only c.a.d. guy they have. I do drawings for two departments, one department consists of about 4-5 Salesmen. When they get a job in, they drop off drawings on my desk and I mark them up for what we need to do.
Well sometimes I get a messload. What I need is someone who either can crank this together, or knows a website I can get this from (opensource of course). I am in need of some software that allows…

First, I would like to wonder why there are so many top lists today about Apple. Today is not about Apple, it’s about the Macintosh. Apple’s birthday is on April 1st. Along with this, I see the same old list made every year. Ones that take little time to think. The simple blog post to get as many hits as possible. After timing myself, This one took about 2 hours to write.
I’m doing this not for the hits, but to create my own list, because I couldn’t stand the lists I saw today. This is just my…

OK, your prob wondering who I am? lol
Well for the past 5 months Ive been playing xbox360 pretty much non stop. I live in north England and this morning reached 15000 gamerscore on the 360. I have now decided to launch the official task of reaching 100k gamerscore sometime within the end of this year (2009).
Hope to make some cool friends along the way and will be more than happy to add anyone to my xbox360 friends list. Obviously this is going to be a "legal" task so I will be adhering to gai…

A simple question! With Christmas right around the corner (HOLY COW, TWO WEEKS!?), I decided to make this post about what I would like to see under the tree after Santa eats the milk and cookies (which are delicious, might I add).
Apple MacBook - for the simple reason of school. I need something portable so I can go and blog on Geeks whilst away from my Mac desktop (Just kidding. I need something to take notes and research). Plus the MacBooks, with the 9400M GPUs, Intel C2Ds, and attractive pri…

I've purposely titled this article beginning with 'You', and why? Well, I feel that the choice of computer, its parts and your workspace is very individual. Everyone has different needs, wants and limitations.
We know that everything in our lives should be built around our own personality, needs and limitations: we can't all afford dual 30 inch monstrosities in our workstations.
So what is important for us PC enthusiasts?
I have my own top five list, in order, that every PC user needs to fork…

You may have seen this list in the November issue of PC World but, I want to toss my thoughts (or the lack thereof) on some.
1. OVERRATED: Touch interface (iPhone 3G) - UNDERRATED: A good keyboard (Sidekick 2008)
I kinda agree on this. Touch screens may be easier and the new thing to replace a mouse now that it's coming to computers but, it's way better to have some kind of keyboard. A PHYSICAL keyboard.
2. OVERRATED: The Wii - UNDERRATED: The PSP
Is it possible a Wii can be overrated when it'…
