Hayden Beckett What is the meaning of life?

I have pondered this question many times, what the meaning of my life is, and invariably, I always come up with a different answer, depending on where I am currently at in this lifetime. I personally believe, that we are all here in this physical form as humans, to achieve something of great value, not only for ourselves, but those with whom we decided to have a part of our lives. This would include our family members, spouses, children, friends, co-workers, people we may meet online, and even t… Continue

antonio santos women problems? what the hell. Its not them, it's you! read me.

I may not be a true geek but if i do know one thing, it's women. Don't get me wrong, it's not like i"m the new Casanova or anything but i do study people and their behavior well enough to know a few important facts. Yesterday, while in a bar in Bridgewater, Massachusetts, i caught myself asking why no action was coming my way. Presentation. I was in a state of mind where i wasn"t projecting confidence. I usually have this in mind but liquor and a little stress was affecting my mood. Confidence i… Continue

Patrick Korkuch The Fine Balance of Things

Every day, we all run our lives on a fine line. Amazingly, we tend to stay on that line, as veering too far in either direction causes everything to fall to pieces. As we move through each day, one minor detail or event can grow, changing our lives in an instant. This doesn't happen often to most people, as the pieces of the puzzle fall neatly into place, keeping us on that line that we all travel on. It is amazing, that with all the chances to veer off that line, nothing usually happens. Every… Continue

Andrew Degray - SnakeByte Beliefs

Alright, Here we go. First and foremost: As always feel free to comment, anything, I can take it. Secondly: Disclaimer - These are not everyone's beliefs only my own and any who wish to share them with me. THIS IS NOT MEANT TO SWAY! Once and for all I would like to say THERE IS A “God”. There is no real name given to the energy that rules everyone and all. That order to chaos. The reason that THERE WAS “THE BIG BANG” to begin with. “God” or this energy is similar through out everything tangi… Continue

Mike Copeland Time Has a habit of Passing too Quickly

Wow I can't believe this year is almost out, just one more full month. Already I'm making plans for what I'm going to be doing for Christmas, of course my birthday is approaching at this very moment. What I find amazing about this year is that I managed to make 7 out of 9 resolutions come true. A first for me, usually I'm never able to keep them, but this year was different. Of course this year has been no ordinary year, but it will be nice to see a new year come upon us soon. I started the year… Continue

Mike Copeland Pocket God

Pocket God is actually an ok game to play when you’re bored. Basically you’re a God like being to Pygmies. You can strike them with lighting, throw them in the Volcano, or feed them to a shark. There are many ways to handle these little guys, and you know what they are some little troopers. No matter how bad it is they always come back for more. The application is updated on a regular basis, each update brings something new, and a hint is in the Episode title. The most recent… Continue

bob3160 WHEN YOU THOUGHT I WASN'T LOOKING !

WHEN YOU THOUGHT I WASN'T LOOKING A message every adult should read because children are watching you and doing as you do, not as you say. When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you hang my first painting on the refrigerator, and I immediately wanted to paint another one. When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you feed a stray cat, and I learned that it was good to be kind to animals. When you thought I wasn't lo… Continue

Mike Copeland Arrange, Rearrange, Rearrange

There are times when I get tired of looking at things the way they are, and what I mean by that is the way my surroundings are setup. I think I get this from my mom, she would rearrange the living room and her bedroom whenever she got bored with it. Which would be like every couple of months, and I used to hate it because I would get used to it and BAM she’d change it up again. Now today I find myself doing the same thing my mom used to do when I was young. I can’t keep my place one way for too… Continue

Mike Copeland Classics

Classics is an application for the iPhone and iPod Touch that allows you to read classic book titles such as “Robinson Crusoe”, “A Christmas Carol”, “Alice in Wonderland”, and many others. I have always loved the classics when it comes to books, in middle school I fell in love with “Treasure Island” which is also in the Classics library. I do find myself reading these books when I just want to unwind and relax. I usually do my work on my site and keep up with everything. Ther… Continue

oneyouforgot life in a new view

As I find myself finishing up my first semester of college I have come to realize the way this new lifestyle has affected me. The first thing that I noticed is that I have come to appreciate the things my parents have done for me. Now I’m not saying that my parents pampered me, because that couldn’t be further from the truth. I’m just saying that the cleaning, laundry, and shopping is actually a big deal. I have actually become a lot cleaner of a person. I make my bed every day! ; Which is crazy… Continue

Mike Copeland Games and Consoles

Which game system do you prefer to game on, Xbox 360, the Wii, or the PlayStation 3? Maybe you’re not a console person, maybe you’re a PC gamer? I have many games laying around here, and most of which are for my outdated PS2. I do have a few games for the 360, I have none for PS3 because I do not own one, nor do I own a Wii. I do have a few games for my PC though, and I do play them regularly. It’s usually a choice between Halo 2 and GTA IV, and Halo usually wins out. I do love my games and enj… Continue

Mike Copeland What's Your Favorite Type of Music?

Music can be an important part of someone’s life, it can even set moods. For me I’m more open minded when it comes to music. I listen to variety instead of just one Genre. I used to listen to hip hop and R&B but now I listen to alternative, metal, new age, stuff like that. My favorite group now a days is Paramore, and I love the gothic sounds of Nox Arcana, Dark Sanctuary, Dargaard, and many more. I have a lot of imagination, and when these songs play I get lost in my own little world. Espe… Continue

Mike Copeland Week of Stress

What a hectic week I’ve had, between getting ready for my dad’s visit and dodging some of the drama from my family it’s been a pain. My family on one side I try no to talk about because they are not what I would call moral. I love them but some of them I really am distancing myself from. Other than that my brothers are cool, and I love my sister. It was nice to see my dad, and hang out with him and my mom. We were everywhere while he was here, Tomball, Katy, Houston, and of course Pasadena. Kat… Continue

Michael Alexander Kurz How do we define our existence? And how do we find a purpose that unites us all? I hope this helps.

Life as the Highest Good By Michael Alexander Kurz Aristotle says: “It is the good man that is both useful and pleasant at the same time,” (Aristotle 83). For a man to be defined as good, the subject in which is being referred to must be in reference to his function. Also, according to Aristotle, man’s proper function is an activity “in conformity with a rational principle,” (Aristotle 63). Consequently, with man’s gift of rationality, comes the responsibility of discovering the most rational.… Continue

Mike Copeland Drinks

I’m not supposed to be drinking soda, but I do because I’m addicted so to speak lol. My favorite soda is Dr.Pepper, and no I’m not endorsing Dr.Pepper. I just like the taste. I like drinking juice, water, and tea. Tea being my fav by the way. I’ve been trying to get on a healthier track when drinking, but always end up back tracking. Like I said before this is one of those random things that I post, only this time instead of a glass of tea in a picture there is a video. Speak… Continue

Mike Copeland Which DVR Do You Use to Record TV Shows?

What do you use to record your favorite TV shows? TiVo, Comcast DVR, Windows Media Center? This is a cool time to be in, I remember when I was a kid and had to record my favorite shows to VHS and would have to hope there was a enough tape. However these tapes would degrade over time, and when DVD’s came out there still was no real way to record and digitize unless you wanted to spend a lot of money. Now we have things like TiVo, Windows Media Center, Comcast DVR, and etc. I… Continue

Mike Copeland Tea Time

This I know has nothing to do with tech, but I figured I take the time to speak about my favorite drink. I love tea, I love it hot or cold. Sweetened and unsweetened. For many people tea is preferred when in a restaurant, or just to drink around the home. I drink it because it’s healthier than a sod… Continue

Mike Copeland My Interest - A Windows Into My Life

I figured I’d take the time to say some of my interest. People often find it funny that I still watch Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network. This is because at heart I’m still pretty much a kid. I find shows like Drake & Josh, and iCarly to be hilarious. and yes I do watch SpongeBob, LOL. I’ll watch Johnny Test on CN, and of course later when Adult Swim comes on I’ll watch Family Guy, King of the Hill, and especially Robot Chicken. I love anime, Big O is pretty good, my favorite of Course is Drag… Continue
