Mike Copeland Pocket God

Pocket God is actually an ok game to play when you’re bored. Basically you’re a God like being to Pygmies. You can strike them with lighting, throw them in the Volcano, or feed them to a shark. There are many ways to handle these little guys, and you know what they are some little troopers. No matter how bad it is they always come back for more. The application is updated on a regular basis, each update brings something new, and a hint is in the Episode title. The most recent… Continue

Mike Copeland The Plateau

This game starts out easy but gradually gets harder as the levels progress. I play this game to work my mind, it really gets you to thinking. Basically the game is trying to untangle the lines. No line should cross another, a good line goes green while a bad one goes red, and the orange lines are neutral. The game can get addicting, not as addicting as Sudoku but close, reminds of when I used to spend time trying to solve the Rubik’s Cube. The game is $4.99 in the iTunes App… Continue

Mike Copeland Classics

Classics is an application for the iPhone and iPod Touch that allows you to read classic book titles such as “Robinson Crusoe”, “A Christmas Carol”, “Alice in Wonderland”, and many others. I have always loved the classics when it comes to books, in middle school I fell in love with “Treasure Island” which is also in the Classics library. I do find myself reading these books when I just want to unwind and relax. I usually do my work on my site and keep up with everything. Ther… Continue

Adam iTunes 9

Since I am short on time, this will be a post on my thoughts on the latest version of iTunes. At first, I wasn’t to fond of the new iTunes Store look, but after I started to adjust to it, things got better. The nice UI is definitely a win when it comes to iTunes. The iTunes DJ, in my opinion, is pretty good….. if your a DJ. The home sharing feature is excellent, especially since I got my MacBook. I can transfer everything I have on iTunes via this feature and it has saved me a LOT of time. As I… Continue

jkls Need To Back Up Your iTunes Media?

How do you back up your iTunes media? By external drive? Online services? Well I have been backing up via my 120gb Maxtor external hard drive. It's worked out well, but not as well as I would like it to. Today DannyMinick suggested to me why not use Home Sharing? Brilliant. For those that are not familiar with iTunes Home Sharing, it's a feature in iTunes 9 which allows you to copy any media from the original iTunes library. All you have to do is… Continue

Jamie Luca Last.fm Free Downloads, are you using them?

We all like the free things in life, right? Well, I enjoy listening to Indie music and I knew that Last.fm did have a very large selection of free music that you could download from many genres and not just Indie. Up to today I've never really used it as I thought that the quality of the music wouldn't be as good as it would be from iTunes or other music downloading services. I downloaded a few songs from the free section and I was supriesed, the music sounded good, the audio quality was pretty… Continue

Samuel Moo Chee Kien DropBox iPhone and iPod touch!

I like using DropBox since it was released. I like it so much because it makes my life easier at school. The reason I like DropBox 1.Every time I need to bring my pendrive around me, it makes me feel uncomfortable, but with DropBox, I can log on to internet and get my school works! 2.A good backup for my documents and exe programs. Some times I lost my pen drive, I don know where did I put, so DropBox is very useful for a sloppy person like me. I would appreciate it as a backup memory for me… Continue

Nerd Enterprises, Inc. Productivity Tip - A good thing to do on a Sunday

I like to look at my calendar for the week and as I’ve mentioned before this is a great time to open up that to do list and look for places to stick items from the To do list into my daily schedule. I like to plan the week and see what I have in store. I also like to find at least one spot in the week that is set aside as pure down time. I can use this time to write or record a tutorial (something I really enjoy) or play with my Playstation - something relaxing. I can also set aside a block of… Continue

Johannes S. Apple, we've been good friends since '05, but today...

Dear Apple, I was anxious to try out the new iTunes 9 and iPhone OS 3.1, but to my disappointment, both were worse than the old versions. First of all, the iTunes interface is ugly. Look, I like your products for one main reason, they don't look like they want to tear out my eyes when I'm looking at them. But, iTunes 9: Lighter top bar? Gradients on buttons? Lighter icons? Seriously? While everything else in OS X has gone darker, this has gone lighter? Mac OS X 10.6.1 update was good though.… Continue

Johannes S. Essential 9/11 music

And, again, a blog post about music. Sorry, if you are tired of them. 9/11 victims deserve their moment of silence, yes. But you can't sit in silence all day. Here's a good album about 9/11 and the War in Iraq. All songs hand-picked by an Iraq war veteran. Spotify Link - Body Of War Soundtrack – Body Of War: Songs That Inspired An Iraq War VeteranContinue

The Aussie Geek Where have all the Itunes podcasts gone?

Is it just me or have the podcasts on itunes stopped. The last one that I was able to download via 'The Chris Pirillo Show' subscription is from the 18th Aug 2009 and I know that there are ones on youtube that are more recent. I understand that Chris has been busy though 10 days is a long time in the itunes world. The Aussie Geek Continue

Johannes S. What the ****: Laws make no sense.

(This is the second post in the series of my "What the ****" posts) 1) There's a new language law passed in Estonia, the Northern European country in which I live in. It requires me to blog in fluent Estonian. Sorry, but that's... well, retarded. First of all (although I live in Estonia and consider me somewhat Estonian, I speak better English than Estonian, even though Estonian is my mother tongue) I don't blog in Estonian. I blog in English. It is the language I speak best. It is the… Continue
